Hello...thanks to everyone for the guidance and advice. I was able to successfully switch from Tier 2 ICT to Tier 2 General. It was done via premium appointment. I submitted my IELTS UKVI academic test result alongwith original passports and BRP cards. The process was pretty straightforward. Thanks ...
What was your ICT visa sub category when you first came to UK?I think only Tier 2 ICT Established staff sub category are eligible to switch to Tier 2 general as per the guidelines.
Posting my question here... My situation is that my Tier 2 ICT established staff visa (entered UK before 6 April 2011) is expiring by end of February'18. I am in talks with another company for a switch but that process will probably only start by end of Jan'18. Meanwhile I am being chased by my curr...
Hello everyone, I am starting a new thread as the other thread was for a different topic. My situation is that my Tier 2 ICT established staff visa (entered UK before 6 April 2011) is expiring by end of February'18. I am in talks with another company for a switch but that process will probably only ...
Anyone here who recently switched from Tier 2 ICT (arrived before April 2011) to Tier 2 general who can guide me on the language requirements? Is NARIC/IELTS a mandatory requirement?
Called NARIC today...they definitely need the letter from the uni. My challenge is that I am currently in the UK and it will be a challenge for me to get the letter from the Uni .
I submitted my degree and transcripts to NARIC for assessment. My degree clearly mentions the medium as English but NARIC guys have now come back and are asking for a medium of instruction letter :(. I am currently in UK on Tier 2 ICT looking to change to Tier 2 general. It wont be possible for me t...
My Engineering degree has "Medium: English" mentioned on it. Would i still require a medium of instruction letter or just the degree and transcript scan are sufficient?
Apologies for jumping onto this thread. Thought it would be better than starting a new topic. My Engineering degree has "Medium: English" mentioned on it. Would i still require a medium of instruction letter or just the degree and transcript scan are sufficient?
Does anyone have any experience with NARIC to get degree validated to prove English language competency? Is there a lost of Indian universities that NARIC recognizes?
Hi Ravi, Yes you are eligible to switch to Tier 2 general. The Tier 2 guidance document clearly states that one who came to UK before 06 April 2011 under the Tier 2 ICT Established Staff sub category can switch visas. Search the forum to find the link to the relevant document and clause. All the best.
Can I start filling the form before I have a CoS? I am yet to get CoS. I am trying to do my homework so as to not struggle at the last minute for missing documents.
Sorry if I offended you with my response. I went through the document in the first link but wasnt completely sure as it says that some supporting documents might be requested. My situation is that I will be switching along with my spouse and child who are in UK with me. As per my understanding, i wo...
These links have very generic information. Anyone here who has switched visas? Can you please share what documents you submitted along with the form? Thanks in advance!
Could someone please advise? I need the information urgently as I might need to travel back to India to get the required original documents. Please help!
Thanks Harry. I am still waiting for the employer to make an offer. I have another question. My current T2 visa expires on 28th Feb and will be due for renewal. Given the holiday period, if the processing and issuing of CoS happens in Jan'18, I am planning to go for premium appointment. But looking ...
Thanks for the response harryisback. I was under the impression that those dates were applicable for restricted CoS? Isnt that the case? Also, if an employer needs to raise the request, will they have to wait till Jan 5th 2018?
