Universal Credit and Housing benefit

Hi All Hope everybody is well. Just checking can we apply for Universal Credit/ Housing Benefit if Im a british national and my wife is on Spouse visa She is currently working but on leave due to Crona virus Im a self employed If i Claim Universal credit/ housing will it effect my Wifes visa ?
