Re: Confusion on Supporting Documents (US Applicant)

Best practice is to send everything to Sheffield except your passport, which will be submitted to the VFS centre along with biometrics. Now you can either send documents directly or send it to your sponsor and they can send it to Sheffield. Other US memebers might give you more accurate information...

Confusion on Supporting Documents (US Applicant)

Hello, My fiancé and I are about a week out from submitting our Fiancé Visa Application. We have our supporting documents in order, but I’m gettig extremely confused on where to send everything. I see that New York has made some changes and VFS is now accepting photocopies. This is great, but I real...

Re: Visit Length prior to Fiancé Visa Application

Thank you. So as long as I avoid spending more than 6 months in a year in the UK, I should be okay? That is good news and I will definitely keep that in mind when planning out when I will stay in the UK and when I will spend time back in the States.

Visit Length prior to Fiancé Visa Application

This may not be the right thread for this question, and if I am wrong I apologise. My boyfriend and I are looking at going down the Fiancé Visa route. He was a PhD student at the time we met and his funding soon ran out. He’s been job searching, but he hasn’t been as lucky as we had hoped. He’s cont...

Fiance vs Spouse Visa - Which one and how do you survive?

My boyfriend and I have recently begun looking into the fiance and spouse visas. I was supposed to be applying for a Tier 2 Visa, but as I am a Scottish-trained primary teacher, my salary was far under the threshold cutoff for December. My employer's plan to resubmit, but they and I have lost confid...

Re: December 2017 Restricted COS

Guys just received the news from my lawyer, applications with salary less than 60000 GBP have been refused this month. Just got some news from my employer - application has been rejected (applied for Nov allocation) and the reason is the exact same as the others earlier from today. "Thank you ...

Re: December 2017 Restricted COS

Late November. They had a similar application approved this month which is the weird part (large NHS trust). I wonder if it didnt have enough evidemce for the RLMT. But if their reasoning was insufficient number of points, wouldn't that mean that the application was viable aside from the number of ...

Re: Tier 2 Maitenance Funds Question

Why can't you get a letter from Sponsor that they will cover and supppor your expenses for initial month But if you wish to submit bank accounts, you can submit both statements and just highlights the latest balances on both with a marker. If you wish provide a declaration as well that you have 2 a...

Re: Tier 2 Maitenance Funds Question

Yes, you can submit submit statements from two accounts showing the required balance . Thank you for aleviating my anxiety related to that question! I am still curious how to ensure the Home Office will understand the statements to be official paper statements, but I appreciate your help with part ...

Tier 2 Maitenance Funds Question

Hello, I have a quick question on maintenance funds. I have two bank accounts, both with Santander and they are linked. They were opened at the same time and one is used essentially so I can purchase items and take money out of an ATM, the other is the "main" account. The non-main one is c...

Re: December 2017 Restricted COS

Hi Guys, My employer stated that they applied for my RCOS sometime before 5th Dec., they claim that they are not sure of the status and they need to write to HO regarding the same. I see here that some members from the December allocation have already got the RCOS's. The question I want to ask is a...

RCoS Received :)
Do you happen to know what your points scored was?

Also what date your sponsor applied?

Trying to understand where UKVI might be at in their list of applications.

Re: Varying application and Premium Service - (a bit urgent)

My heart goes out to you.. I cannot imagine leaving my passport with the Home Office for close to two years, especially when 2 (I'm assuming) of your siblings have gotten married and you have been unable to attend. I think you definitely reach a tipping point where you either have to go all in and r...

Re: Varying application and Premium Service - (a bit urgent)

I would certainly go with an appointment at a Premium Service Centre. While I am certainly shocked at how long you've had a pending previous application, you very well *could* receive that application back. Also, if you did mail your first application away, wouldn't that contain your passport as wel...

Various Tier 2 (General) Questions

Hello, I had a few general questions in regards to the Tier 2 (General) Visa. I am currently waiting to hear back on the restricted Certificate of Sponsorship application my potential employer made for the December round of allocations. In the meantime, I am trying to gather everything needed for my...
