Scanning does happen

Thanks to all for the advice. As for scans at ticket counters, I am certain they do this. American Airlines told me directly that they do it. However I don't know, and am doubtful, that this information gets passed on to the home office.

The Whole Story

I'm finding that lots of people responding to my post are assuming my partner and I have done something terribly 'wrong'. It's important not to judge the situation before knowing the facts. We are both mature adults in our forties, and are very well established financially and career-wise. We were v...

Question

What happened when you were ordered to leave the country? Did you file for an appeal, or just ignore it? And how long ago was that?

Need Information on Visa Appeal Process

Does anybody know how to appeal if the Home Office refuses a visa extension? I've read that after they say no, they give 28 days to appeal. But what then? How long does it take them to respond? And if they still say no, can a second appeal be done? And if I'm trying to extend a fiance visa, would ma...

Msg for Likes Dogs and Victim

Message for Likes Dogs- I am in a similar predicament in that my visa (fiancé) is about to expire, but I am not ready to leave, and I don’t think I can get an extension as I’ve already had one. I know they scan passports at the ticket counter, but I don’t know where that information gets recorded. I...

Looking for Answers to our Questions, and Nothing Further

Let me explain. Our intention is to stay together, and not to do anything illegal. We are trying to find legal ways for me to stay, but have had no luck. Therefore we are asking other questions. I don't feel it's necessary to explain our situation. We are simply looking for answers to the questions ...

Still need more info

I appreciate the advice I've received thus far, however I still need answers to my questions. As I said, our situation is complex which is why the Home Office was willing to extend our visa once with no questions asked. Apparently that is very unusual. Plus I'm reading all sorts of posts on this web...

Returning to UK after overstaying fiance visa

My partner and I have a problem. I am a U.S. citizen, and he is a British citizen from England. I have been in the UK for over a year, and have a fiance visa that we had extended once already. It expires at the end of March. Our situation is quite complex, and we therefore need some more time before...
