I think you are doing the right thing by telling them that you have no offers or interviews lined up and that you just started with your job search. First of all it is none of their business to ask such details. Secondly many of these agencies are less interested in your profile and more interested ...

Hi InUkOnHSMP, My personal opinion..the job market will get worse in the days to come. The impact of US downturn has been felt slightly till now in UK and full impact is yet to be unleashed. The companies which are trimming their work-force in US can anytime start the same in UK too(remember the CTC...

Pyke, yes, these people get the number from one of the sites we have registered. It gets really irritating when you get 3-4 back to back calls from these people. Also, I fully agree with Ashish's advice - don't worry about the duplication of CV to a client. The agents just can't be trusted. I have s...

Beware of Fake recruitment agents

I have been in UK for almost 4 weeks and actively looking for a job. I have been receiving calls from recruitment consultants regularly but off late I realize half of them are fake. These consultants contact you stating that they have some openings which match your profile but in order to avoid dupl...

Go For HSMP

US is already in recession and I think it will continue for some time. Things are really bad in US during recessions and especially for people on H1. UK is a more stable country from stability perspective. In the present circumstances UK is the better option. Atleast nobody can tell you to leave the...

Job Market seems bit slow

I came to UK around 1 month back. I am on Java and JEE with solid experience. I have had hardly any interviews yet. I think the job market is getting slower as is the economy. Unless you are lucky it will take some time to find a job. Come prepared to search for upto 3 months. I get 2-3 calls from a...

I never said that they are trying to exclude only me. They have done so for many more people on this board. I simply don't have to prove to you t...

Hey PounceQuick, You may find the allegation as ridiculous but its a fact. HO plays these dirty games. Give me your personal mailId and I will convince you that these HO people can get real dirty. Try searching on stories about HO and you will find multiple instances of their unethical behaviour.
