Re: Tier 2 ICT Dependent to Tier 2 General

I mean did she apply for a job with this company, interview, etc ? [/quote] The big boss of the sponsoring company is my best mates father but that is into different industry than what my wife is working. So she is not applying job nor attending any interview but getting a sponsorship as a help. An...

Re: Tier 2 ICT Dependent to Tier 2 General

I am sorry for the wrong words used, my bad. It's not a umbrella company but a legit one, actually a large firm with more than 1000 employees. But they are just sponsoring my wife's visa because my wife's current employer does not hold a license to sponsor. So the idea is to get sponsor and apply T...

Re: Tier 2 ICT Dependent to Tier 2 General

Not contracting, full time employment. Can she continue her current full time employment even though she switches her visa to Tier 2 general. Does she have a obligation to resign her current job and work only with the one who sponsored her Tier 2 This is impossible. An umbrella company cannot spons...

Re: February 2018 Restricted COS

Is NHS fine with number of recruited nurses so far, or are they still going to stamp us down with masses? I work in the NHS and trust me when I say they will need a lot more. A very large percentage of nurses come from the EU and migration from there has fallen significantly after Brexit meaning th...

Re: February 2018 Restricted COS

I too am struggling with this. My life, boyfriend, job ect.. are all over there while I wait for my visa to go through. Struggling to live in limbo waiting with the uncertainty of the situation. I have 31 pts. What are people's predictions for this month? :( I guess we will find out in just over a ...

If you check tier 2 visa guidance available on gov.uk website, it says visa to be applied within 3 months from date of cos assignment and upto 3 months before work start date. It does not talk about RLMT expiry.
Thank you :)

6 month RLMT expiry

Hi guys, I’m hopping someone may be able to help me with a query: I understand that a restricted certificate of sponsorship needs to be assigned within 6 months of the job first being advertised otherwise the RLMT expires. My question is: does the visa also need to be applied for within the 6 months...

Re: Can I travel to UK as a Visitor while Tier 2 CoS is being processed?

I’m actually in the exact same position and a tad concerned I won’t be let in myself because my tier 5 visa only recently expired. I’m sure as long as you have a flight booked to prove you’re leaving the UK again (within that 6 months) you’ll be absolutely fine. I don’t think applying for COS will ...

Re: January 2018 Restricted COS

I am NHS with 39 points and i have been refused in both December and January as have others in our trust. I had a read of the acceptance process and it does seem to be purely on points. If they give campus or milk round staff another 10 points surely they could consider it for NHS employees! I comp...

Re: January 2018 Restricted COS

Anyone waiting for a decision still? I am assuming HO would complete decisioning in next two days unless some queries are pending. Still awaiting update on my case I’m still waiting too - although I know it will be a refusal as people here getting rejections on similar points. I assume it’s just ta...

Re: Advice needed

Hi, I’m assuming it has been the requests to HO for a certificate of sponsorship for her that’s been rejected rather than her visa application which would require her to be in Australia to make? If so a lot of us are in the same terrible position currently. Over December and now January there was an...

HO guidance says that indicative salary range is acceptable and as long as the salary offered is with in the range advertised, it should not be a problem.
Thanks!

Re: January 2018 Restricted COS

I’m assuming it’s okay if HR submit a salary range rather than one specific figure for your application as this is how most positions in any industry are advertised? I’ve been assuming HO would just take the lowest figure on the salary range given to assess, allocate points, etc. but after reading a...

Re: January 2018 Restricted COS

I've gotten 1 rejection for December because of high demand, and no response for other months. I'm just concerned that this means I'm now too late because of RLMT expiry. Are you 100% sure your employer submitted your application for the August-November rounds? That’s the only thing I can think of ...

Re: January 2018 Restricted COS

Apparently as of Friday (12th) they were still looking at them and were going to start notifying employers within 5 working days after that...so it’s possible some could be looking at later in the week.

Re: January 2018 Restricted COS

I've been told mine is "under review" and that the UKBA will take up to an additional 5 working days to reach a decision, has anyone else received a similar result today? I'm a lowly 35 points so I'm assuming I won't be successful this month :/ I guess this is due to the large amount of a...

Re: January 2018 Restricted COS

Hi all, I’m awaiting outcome for my RCoS as well. Not expecting it to be successful given large number of applications/rejections last month and my points are low due to salary (NHS worker - about 30 I think) - very stressful/frustrating. Not sure where to go from here. I suppose we can hope for a m...
