Re: June 2018 Restricted COS

I strongly believe there are no updates from HO itself. So , we should wait until next week to get clear picture. Anyways people with 40-45 points might get clear in coming months. But can anyone confirm if minimum points is 21 or 32 to get Rcos ? Thanks The typical number of minimum is 21 points b...

Re: June 2018 Restricted COS

Hi guys, the changes will come into effect on 6 July 2018. Please see link here: https://www.gov.uk/government/news/changes-to-the-immigration-rules--2 I am purely speculating here. But why did the government chose 6th July as the implementation date? Does this have to do something with the fact th...

You have to apply from a country where you are legally a resident. Not sure what your resident status is for each others countries?

Not to get anyones hopes up, but Sajid Javid is a business guy, former banker, so I doubt that he's going to push for anything that doesn't help business as well as NHS. Fingers crossed.

Re: June 2018 Restricted COS

Here is the article, it's okay to post news stories: https://www.theguardian.com/society/2018/jun/12/government-relax-immigration-rules-overseas-doctors It will help if they remove all NHS codes from the cap, not sure it will help immensely if they don't remove nurses. Fingers crossed there's still ...

Re: June 2018 Restricted COS

Approvals don't go in any order necessarily. Likely, there are batches broken up by caseworker and it depends how quickly they can get to you. They still have to verify that every application in that band is valid. If you haven't received an approval/rejection, it only means your caseworker hasn't ...

Re: June 2018 Restricted COS

I am still waiting for the COS. I have got 51k Salary & 50 points. Job is not on SOL. Do HO have any order in which they process the application? With 51k salary, you are at 47 points ( 20 RLMT + 27 Salary). Yes they work in a sliding down pattern on the basis of salary. Should not this be 50 p...

Re: June 2018 Restricted COS

Employers will get an email notifying them of the success or failure of the rCOS anywhere from today until 2 weeks from now. We won't know the cap until likely nearer the end of the month, as has been the case for the past few months.

Re: RLMT RELATED

This is quite fear-mongery. I know plenty of people that have moved from Tier 5 to Tier 2 with their company of work. You will have to make sure to document your RLMT very well and show that there are no other qualified candidates. My suggestion to you is read the guidance backwards and forwards and...

Dear Colleagues,

I have one doubt. Last month the minimum score requested by HO was 51. Just for my understand, 100% of the submissions with 51 or more was approved or HO can reject a person with score of 51???

Thanks in advance
All submissions above 51 points were accepted.

Re: Confusion regarding maintenance

There *is* a place for the employer to verify the maintenance funds. It's just not obvious. A moderator might be better to help advise you on providing double information, I'm not sure.

Re: Confusion regarding maintenance

No, it's a tick box and easy to miss -it's not a 'yes' or 'no' question. You can have your manager email or call the home office and verify? Or try and send both with an explanation?

Re: Tier 2 visa and other options

Correct, SOL are not being refused, same with PHds, those with high salary etc. The points cut off is 55, the SOL automatic points (before funds) is 130. He'll be fine as long as he's actually on the list.

Re: Tier 2 visa and other options

If the job is on the shortage occupation list, he will be fine. SOL gets 130 points, so well beyond the 55 point current cap.
