Re: March 2018 Restricted COS

Are we 100% sure the 45 points will all get refused this month?

So far it seems we have news of a rejection of 44 points but no 45s yet?

Re: March 2018 Restricted COS

Hi everyone! May I ask how long is the validity of the RLMT? My employer said we met already that criteria so they will just reapply this April, so no need to do RLMT again, so we are just hoping that it will be granted this April since it will fall in the new CoS allocation year 2018/2019. The RLM...

Re: March 2018 Restricted COS

Hey guys. I just read of a junior doctor whose CoS was approved in a non shortage occupation. His friend seems certain that his salary was 51k but this is not confirmed yet. If this is true then the score will probably be 46 again which is good news for us applying with 45 and below next month. Als...

Re: March 2018 Restricted COS

Hi everyone! Congratulations to those whose CoS has been granted! My employer applied 3 times already, since January, but until now, it has been declined. I saw some post that says, they have been declined 5 times already. I want to ask, this coming April, there will be a new CoS allocation year 20...

Re: March 2018 Restricted COS

Help please I was on spouse visa but marriage broke down. Was busy with RLMT to switch to Tier 2 general when my evil ex called immigration for me and they picked me up from work saying my spouse visa had been curtailed! My Boss had a good word in for me so they decided not to deport me but had to ...

Re: March 2018 Restricted COS

Good luck to everyone going for RCoS this month (although obviously we know not many will be accepted this month). As this is the last month before the quota is re-set it will be interesting to see what they do as there have been certicates carried forward the last couple of months as there were too...

Re: March 2018 Restricted COS

Has anyone’s employers given them an indication of how long they’re happy to keep applying for?

I can’t really see the points dropping significantly in April or May given the big backlog of applications.

Re: March 2018 Restricted COS

Hi everybody. Nice to see you all again. May we never have to see each other on here again someday! 30 points, non shortage, refused in Feb, trying again for March pessimistically. I was on a tier 4, but my employer's sponsor licence wasn't approved until just SEVEN days after my visa expired. I pa...

Re: March 2018 Restricted COS

Hello again everyone. You guys started this month's thread early. Nice to see everyone again and some new people too. My shortage occupation post did not work out. The hospital pulled out at the last minute but my old hospital was happy to take me back. They also confirmed that they would use my gr...

Re: March 2018 Restricted COS

Guys, none of us can tell you whether you’ll get RCoS or not. Going by previous months if your job is on the shortages list or you have a salary you 50k+ you’ll have a chance. Anything lower than that very unlikely this month. I wouldn’t be making any travel plans yet though even if your salary is o...

Re: March 2018 Restricted COS

We're not allowed to post external links/articles but there's a story just posted that says that the government/immigration minister has essentially dismissed calls for an increase in the cap. So if anyone was hedging their UK plans on this being raised in April I'd probably re-consider.

Hi Hopeful42, hope you are well. Looks like your RLMT is in progress isn't it.
Coming to the post there is no cap on COS so it refers to RCOS I guess.
Hi krimurthy, yes I hope you are well too. Yes my RLMT is in progress so I don’t think I’ve been submitted for RCoS in March.

Re: March 2018 Restricted COS

This was the article on immigration update. Could not understand the 3rd point clearly does that mean the HO can reset the annual cap before April?. 2018 has already ushered in new UK immigration rules, as well as some other developments that employers should be aware of. The new rules include: 1. ...

Re: February 2018 Restricted COS

Also guys for those of you who were previously living in the UK but returned to apply for new visa I would suggest emailing your local UK MP as well. Sometimes they are able to take more notice because they have less requests, etc.

Re: February 2018 Restricted COS

They don’t have any more information than we do - we just figured that given it’s highly unlikely I’ll get approved in March we’re probably just wasting our time when we could be re-doing RLMT so it’s valid during the months I may have a chance in. If they manage to find a British/EU candidate from...

Re: February 2018 Restricted COS

33 points and yep second refusal. I won’t be re-applying for March though. I thought my RLMT expired end of this month but it’s actually the end of March but my manager, HR and myself discussed the issue and we thought it would be better to just re-do RLMT now as obviously my chances of getting COS...

Re: February 2018 Restricted COS

It’s not HO’s call. Their hands are tied by government policy. Any changes to policy take time and I doubt they’ll change anything any way given their public promises to stop migration. And the UK are allowed to decide to control their own boarders in any way they see fit but the problem is that UK...

Re: February 2018 Restricted COS

In a way it’s good the issue is finally getting a bit of media coverage. Hopefully articles like that Guadian one will get shared a bit through social media and if it gains a bit of traction the government may realise there’s a problem. I mean we are skilled workers wanting to do jobs that nobody i...

Re: February 2018 Restricted COS

All of us are talking about increasing the salary to increase the chances but it's not easy our employers should also need to evaluate and take the decision on the salary. Lucky if they do that. If companies are happy to raise salaries to get visas then more power to the worker but it sets a bit of...

Re: February 2018 Restricted COS

Hi everyone , I am new on this page.I have one Cos rejected in January. I am a doctor from non shortage list.My HR didn't tell me the exact reason so she presumed that it could be due to the quota that reached its limit. Earlier i was working on tier 5 viza with salary 56+k. I told the HR she might...
