Re: Switch from Tier 2 to FLR(M) Unmarried Partner Delay

I’ve been waiting almost 14 weeks now and can’t get a new job until I hear about this visa. I’m just wondering why this delay is so long when this type of visa is straightforward (you meet the requirements or you don’t). The Home Office won’t even give my MP any information!

Re: Switch from Tier 2 to FLR(M) Unmarried Partner Delay

Standard applications can take up to 6 months. Via the government website: “If you apply outside the UK a decision will usually be made within 12 weeks. If you apply in the UK a decision will usually be made within 8 weeks of your application date if you use the standard service.” I am inside the U...

UK UNMARRIED PARTNER VISA HELP

It seems as though other people on my same visa route have gotten a decision on or before 8 weeks but unfortunately, I still haven’t heard a thing and am beyond frustrated. I lost my job in November (which is why I am making the visa switch) and cannot work until I have confirmation of this next vis...

Re: Switching Tier 2 to Unmarried Partner

Okay, thanks. I’m guessing it’ll be awhile before I can get an appointment then. Pretty stressful stuff!

Have you done the partner visa route? Is it common for people to be rejected?

Switching Tier 2 to Unmarried Partner

Hi there! I am switching from Tier 2 to an unmarried partner visa (family). I’m wondering if anyone has done this recently and can explain their process? I’m wondering if they’ll reuse my biometrics as my last visa process was less than 2 years ago. I’m worried about having to travel to Glasgow for ...

Pay Cuts - COVID19 - Furlough - Salary Requirement

Hi there, My company is going back and forth about furloughing. I understand that I can be furloughed during this time...but my company is also talking about company wide pay cuts on top of that. What happens if a worker has a pay cut and is then furloughed? So the government would be paying 80% of ...

Tier 2 Extension - New Service Inquiries

Hi there! I applied to extend my Tier 2 visa on the new service which meant I went to one of the new visa centers to do my biometrics and submit everything, nothing was done by post. I was just wondering how I will learn the "results" of my application? Will it be via email? As with the ol...

Re: Tier 2 Visa Denied - Wrong COS

Hi there,

Thank you very much for the info! Would you happen to know how long it might take for my employer to receive another COS?

If not, no worries, I'm sure I can find another thread. Thank you again for the peace of mind. :)

Tier 2 Visa Denied - Wrong COS

Hi there! So I submitted an application to renew my current Tier 2 visa with my employer and I received an email today saying it was denied because we had put on there the COS from my original application last year, not realizing we needed a new one. I still have time to re-apply as my current visa ...

Thank you so much for the update! Mine has been in for two weeks now, so as you can imagine the waiting is killing me. I wish they had some sort of site where you could log in and check the status!

Switching from Tier 4 to Tier 2 from inside the UK

Hello! I am an American currently on a Tier 4 visa sponsored by Edinburgh Napier University. The company I work for currently has been so gracious to sponsor me in my endeavor to continue working and recently acquired a license to sponsor as well as an allocation for me. I've seen so many threads ab...
