Re: Passport - person does not meet criteria to confirm identity

Thanks, it seems that way... this process isn't for introverts, I'm running out of British people I can ask! :D

For those wondering, HMPO simply will not reconsider a referee. I've called and emailed, they have no explanation but say the decision is final.

Passport - person does not meet criteria to confirm identity

Reaching my wits end with HMPO. They have now rejected two different people who confirmed my child's identity. We have a total of 4 applications: Person A (a minister) confirmed all 4 applications. Of those, 1 was approved, 2 were rejected (both children) and 1 is still in process. Person B (a teach...

Re: Passport - Person not eligible

I just got a notification saying my application got approved; maybe something is wrong with the first reference not sure what. Anyway thank you My children are in the same situation. Can I ask, did you end up getting a different person to confirm your identity? Or they just approved the application...

I called to and asked but they said I cannot be under both European and immigration rules. That seems to contradict what I have heard in the forum here.
I believe that's incorrect advice, and it's worth complaining to the Home Office about it.

Re: Tourist stamp for EEA RC holder?

Update: I spoke with Border Force at Heathrow. They said it shouldn't be a problem because I have leave as an EEA family member, but it would be best for me to return to the airport to have the stamp corrected. There's a red immigration phone somewhere on the arrivals level. I do plan to complain af...

No, she didn't ask any questions other than why I didn't have a landing card. This was Heathrow Terminal 5 by the way. Thanks, I'll try to get in touch with them.

Tourist stamp for EEA RC holder?

I'm an EEA residence card holder. I re-entered the UK tonight with my EU spouse, and didn't notice until I got home that the border agent stamped my passport with "leave to enter for 6 months, employment prohibited". She had asked for my landing card, which I thought was odd. I pointed out...

I was able to re-enter the UK using my tier 2 BRP. No concerns/questions about my outstanding RC application.

Re: Valid Tier 2, travel during EEA-FM application?

Sure, I'll let you know how it goes. I believe you're allowed to hold both statuses (EEA RC and UK visa), don't see any reason they'd curtail the tier 4 visa as part of the EEA approval.

Re: Valid Tier 2, travel during EEA-FM application?

I didn't end up needing to travel right away, but I have a trip next week so we'll see. Don't anticipate any problems, my BRP continues to be valid. Even if my EEA-FM application was denied I could continue living in the UK until my Tier 2 expires. I suppose when I re-enter the border agent will see...

Re: Valid Tier 2, travel during EEA-FM application?

Good news! I enquired and they sent back my BRP as well as my wife's Italian ID card. I guess I was too fast in requesting my docs initially.

Re: Valid Tier 2, travel during EEA-FM application?

Do you think I should inform them, or submit another request to return my BRP? Maybe I should have waited longer to request my docs too. I just did my biometrics last week and don't have a COA yet, but I needed my docs back in case I need to travel on short notice.

Valid Tier 2, travel during EEA-FM application?

Hi, I'm a US citizen currently on Tier 2 ICT. I have a residence card application in process on the basis of my spouse who's an Italian citizen. I asked the Home Office to send back my US passport, my Tier 2 BRP (valid for 1 more year) and my wife's Italian ID but they only returned my passport, not...

My Tier 2 BPR was valid beyond 6 months so they returned without any problem. At the moment my Tier 2 is still valid and I also have my EEA RC.

Re: Should I have sent my Tier 2 BRP

Will they send the BRP back? I was under the impression that they would retain the BRP as it would no longer be valid after successful application for a residence card. Just sent my tier 2 BRP in with my EEA-FM, will see what documents I get back.
