Re: Non-Eu spouse schengen visa for Netherlands rejected

You seem to have provided all the necessary documents and then some... I feel like they refused your application because of previous refusals and your intention to leave the country can't be ascertained because you intended to move to one of the Schengen states in your previous application. It is no...

Re: Non-Eu spouse schengen visa for Netherlands rejected

It's sad that SOLVIT didn't help at all in this matter but please do not give up. Best I can advise is to submit a new application to another Schengen state and hope for the best. My wife and I travelled to Amsterdam and from Amsterdam to Spain for our 8 day holiday. Now we are looking to visit Ger...

Re: Applying for ILR under 10 year rule

Thanks for your reply. Based on his current situation he only qualifies for pre-settled status and the details of that status are still yet to be finalised by HO/Parliament. I am still curious to know what happens to the EU RC when someone on EU Family Member visa acquires ILR through 10 year reside...

Applying for ILR under 10 year rule

Hi all, I am asking this question on behalf of a friend. He will be applying for ILR under the 10 year rule at the end of this year and he currently has an EEA Family member card that's valid for another 4 years. When he applies for ILR and receives it (hopefully), will he need to surrender his EEA ...

Re: Schengen visa for Netherland (non EU spouse) rejected

Have you contacted SOLVIT for an update since they forwarded the case to SOLVIT Netherlands? If not, I would recommend emailing and calling them to get an update on the matter. We submitted our complaint on 08-03-2018 then didn't hear anything from SOLVIT UK but we did get a response from the embass...

Re: Mistake on Shenanegan Visa Form

I don't think you have anything to worry about. The hand written form should be accepted and AFAIK these centres only go by the form you submit in person and not what you might have filled online on the form. Generally online forms are there to help the applicants with the application process. Hi al...

@Caravel88 Many thanks for your support. It has been over a month, indeed and I am glad it's finally over now and we can look forward to planning and eventually enjoying our holiday.

This is purely for visit. I have considered settlement but that'll be in Spain, end of this year or early next year.

Re: Shengen visa application.

It was over a month ago but I belive I put tourism and made a note to say honeymoon If you ticked tourism then they can definitely ask for financial documents, I am afraid. It is odd that they asked for proof of work from you instead of your spouse. However, your spouse does qualify for free visa a...

Hi Omi00007! Thank you for your answer. Given your experience I really appreciate hearing from you. So if you are in the UK, how do you do this? Get a photocopy of your Passport then go to a sols office and have it stamped? Then send it to be legalised / notorised or something? Thanks again. In the...

Initially once I lodged the complaint online, I received an email to sign a declaration for my personal details to be shared with EU Commission etc the next day. After that I didn't hear anything, even after sending several emails and calling the UK SOLVIT office twice a week. However, after 3 weeks...

Re: Schengen visa for Netherland (non EU spouse) rejected

First thing you should definitely contact SOLVIT ASAP, as they can take up to 10 weeks to help. In our case when I lodged a complaint online with SOLVIT, I submitted all the same documents that I submitted with my spouse's application. This will help them understand that you fulfilled all the requir...

Re: What do you do if the embassy asks for original ID of the EU family member?

In the absence of an ID card and if the EU/EEA citizen is not present in the country where the application is being lodged, I suggest a legally attested (e.g. Solicitor) copy of the EU/EEA citizen's passport should be submitted with a covering letter stating the reason why original ID/Passport wasn'...
