Re: British with non-eea spouse

Thanks for the replies. I did read a historic document on the CTA, so I believe there is some legislation on it (but don't quote me). Namely, a right of residence. When I looked at the Irish visa site, it says those who have a right of residence in Ireland can apply to have their spouses join them. ...

British with non-eea spouse

Hi all As a quick run down: I'm british and my wife is mexican. We have a UK spouse visa, unfortunately my wife is finding it difficult to find work in the UK (other than cleaning), which is causing a lot of stress, especially as she has a masters degree and is capable of doing so much more, and wou...

Re: UK Spouse visa & CTA

You can always contact the EU to get some explanation Have done in the past for other situations /circumstances (via email), generally has been a bit lackluster in respect to their responses (IMHO). In the end (previously) I had to e-mail someone 'high up' in Irish immigration who effectively said ...

Re: Spouse Visa Refused due to Home Office Error 2018

Just remember the Director General of UK immigration's e-mail is available online, and is a viable avenue to persue when various normal options fail, or there is seemingly no other place to point to. We got our decision overturned by contacting him (though it's typically passed on to Director Genera...

Re: Chat log screenshots

Whatsapp chat will be the same for both sponsor and applicant. Also screenshotting whatsapp chat will not show the date. You are supposed to the export the chat. We used Whatsapp screenshots, and to get the date to appear you simply need to 'scroll' the chat slightly, it will then show at the top a...

Re: UK Spouse visa & CTA

To me its grey, because the ruling for a UK spouse visa is that you can be apart from each other for 180 days and that is ok. There is NO rule such as this for a UK spouse settlement visa. Not so much a "rule" for the spouse visa, but subsequent extension or ILR for other visas types, 90 ...

Re: UK Spouse visa & CTA

It's not a grey area. There are very clear rules. A lot of things are usually not that clear otherwise we wouldnt have these forums and agencies and the many court cases have proven interpretation plays a large part. To me its grey, because the ruling for a UK spouse visa is that you can be apart f...

Hi all Wondering what the situation is, in regards to the Common travel area and UK spouse visas. I know as a british citizen I can go to Ireland and work as much as I like without and special requirements, but what about my wife who holds a UK spouse visa? Can't seem to find anything about that. Re: Non-eea spouse accompanying brit < 3 months

I'm british & my wife's student Visa has now expired (expired end of march) so she has been staying with me in the UK for the last couple of weeks, but I am obviously working in Ireland now for the next few weeks.

She doesn't require an entry visa if that is of any releveance

Non-eea spouse accompanying brit < 3 months

Hi All Just wish to seek clarity due to previous issues with immigration. My wife will be joining me as I go to Ireland to work for roughly 2 months - to my understanding from EU treaty rights, because we're staying for under 3 months she should gain the same rights (i.e. entry /residency to Ireland...

Anyway to contact a managing director of Immigration /passport control?

Hi all I am from the UK & met my partner in Ireland who was there under a student Visa and obviously, we want to continue our relationship to the fullest so we recently got married, yesterday, in Denmark and intend to do all the normal procedure in the UK (apply for spouse visa, look into gettin...
