Payslip net pay vs gross pay

Hi all, I wonder if any one could offer me some advice. I'm due to apply for ILR in couple of days time. I have just opened my recent payslip and realized my taxcode was changed to higher taxcode because HMRC thinks I have gone into the higher band and they need to take back some money off me which ...

Re: Urgent Input on ILR application

As Zimba already stated that there is no need to state the start date on the letter. Hi all, Just because my employment history is with HMRC, I have made amendment like this. Will this suffix ? I confirm that Mr xxxxx worked in a temporary post from xxxxxxxx and commenced a permanent employment sin...

Re: Urgent Input on ILR application

What makes you think that Home office doesn't check applicant's previous tax records? As far as my knowledge is, previous tax records are checked for ILR applications made on points based system. If you worked when you were student and were permitted to work, then you have nothing to worry about. I...

Re: Urgent Input on ILR application

BAsed on the day you became the employee Thank you for your reply. If you take a look at the letter I posted, it has multiple statements regarding the employment on Tier 4 and then Tier 2. I had a transition from student Visa so I dont know if writing when I was employed as a student on fixed term ...

Re: Urgent Input on ILR application

For ILR based on tier 2 general form SET(O), it is ONLY your tier 2 employment that is relevant. Why are you trying to complicate things. Thank You CR001, do you think I should ask the employer to base my letter on my Tier 2 Visa start date and remove the Tier 4 when I started during vacation ? I w...

Urgent Input on ILR application

Hi Guys, Please read below and advise me if jobs done whilst on Tier 4 should be captured in an Employer's letter for ILR or if I need this letter to be ammended. Although I worked as a student during vacation fixed term( temporary subject to Tier 4 expiry date), I started my permanent contract with...

Re: Must the Job start date be stated on Tier 2 Employers letter for ILR

There is no need to state a start date Thank you Zimba. I have asked this question just because a lot of people who posted employers letter for ILR on this forum, stated that the person has been working with the firm since xyz. So I didn't want my employer to state any date that will create confusi...

Must the Job start date be stated on Tier 2 Employers letter for ILR

Hello moderators, I am due to apply for ILR in few months, however I have a few questions. I was working for my employer for few months after studies on a temporary basis on Tier 4 VISA before i was offered a permanent Job for same role and was issued a COS which lead a tier 2 visa for same Job. For...

Re: Conditional Fixed term agreement

This is not a force or getting around the policy. The employer is in fact offering skilled students with professional qualifications flexible contract terms for fixed terms and will not refuse taking you on a fixed term because you are on Tier 4. Why should a student sit back at home when you can d...

Re: Cnditional Fixed term agreement

Just to put the discussion to bed. I have just paid and consulted an immigration lawyer on this topic and it may help people for future refrences. The feedback was: so long as such conditions are signed and agreed by both parties and that the start date as a Tier 4 was stated as conditional fixed te...

Re: Conditional Fixed term agreement

Does your concern mean the student should not work temporary because it has a clause it can be made permanent if certain conditions are met in future? Maybe. As the employee, I would probably have a concern that the employer is in effect making a permanent job look temporary to get round the Tier 4...

Re: Conditional Fixed term agreement

You may be conflating a couple of separate issues, so to clarify: If you hold a Tier4 visa and got a permanent job which requires a switch to tier 2 visa. The job doesn't need resident labour market testing. Also they job she got is on the shortage list. Meaning the employer doesn't necessarily nee...

Re: Conditional Fixed term agreement

The job is permanent but offered on a fixed term based on Tier 4 visa with a condition it will automatically become permanent if she gets a Tier 2 visa. That is a contradiction in terms. It sounds like it is a temporary job on paper at the moment, specifically because the employer knows that she ca...

Thanks .

I will advise she starts the position on fixed term basis. When her Tier 2 application is made she can then convert to permanent position.

Hello gurus please can anyone help me out. My sister got offered a permanent job. Hi CR100, Can I get an advise as am making an application. I am applying for TIER 2 visa for medical radiographers , SOC code : 2217. Title radiographer. My employer stated in my job description and it's for a senior role but they didn't state if the job was for band 5 or band 6. I work as a band 6....

Re: General Query on Tier 2 General ILR absence limit rule

The counting is done on a rolling 12 months basis. So in any 12 months if you accumulate more than 30working days then you need to provide evidence to show it was paid annual leave. In your case , even though you splitted it, if we pick any 12 month rolling , then the leave falls more than 30working...

If the application asks for all passports etc, then submit both. There is no rule that an expired passport must have a visa in!!
OK thanks. They have asked for my passport and didn't mention old or new. I filled my application with just my current passport as the old one is expired.

They don't care where your passport is issued. It must be valid. You are overthinking a non-issue.
Thanks CR001.

I think I am thinking too deep but I will relax now.

Do you reckon I submit the new one? The old one has no visa in it . Just stamps for travels .
