why bother? the caseworker see your SOC code only, but not your job title.... (of course if you job title is totally irrelevant to your SOC code, they will flag up), as long as your SOC code is in shortage list, then you are the employee of the shortage job in the UK. actually I just found my passport in my letterbox, I didn't sign for anything...... and no SMS confirmed the delivery...... quite terrible! that means the postman may just sign it himself and leave the passport in my letterbox......... the HO always use crap service to deliver very important documen...

The result from the point based calculator cannot be used anymore, although it proved your engish when you granted limited leave. Now you must be certified through NARIC or just sit a B1 test.

paragraph 287a(i)(d) requires 2 years. and appendix FM has no specific requirement about 5 years rule neither.
