I think age difference is not a reason why the visa will be refused. I have a friend here who got married and their age gap is 25 years and she was granted a visa. Important is that you should satisfy the ECO of the three things: financial evidence, accommodation and your realtionship.

I think they will consider also the applicants finances. When I lodged my visa application I declared that i have my own savings and property. I included my transcript of records and my diploma. I think this things also helped that my spouse visa was granted.

Hi Ahmed, Having an overdraft is not a problem. When I lodged my application my husband had an overdraft of 1,000 in his natwest account but it showed that there is a regular deposits. He has only 700 savings to his building society account. It is not important to have a very large amount of savings...

An application cannot be refused because someone is using an authorised overdraft. As long as he shows that he can afford to support you until you find work you should be okay, regardless of this.
