Re: Long term visit visa for mother from Pakistan

Hi H

My parents were granted the visit visa for 6 months. They said a lot of people were getting their visa but obviously each case is decided on its own merits.

Hope the best for you.

Re: Long term visit visa for mother from Pakistan

I’d be honest, like anyone I can only guess. I do believe your case is strong but it’s just lately I have seen bizarre rejections around widowers. I personally wanted to apply a 5 year visa for my parents but applied for a 6 month visa cuz in any case I won’t lose the fees as high as that 5 year one...

Re: Visa application

If you are a British citizen, it can be a family visa or a tourist visa. Doesn’t make a lot of difference. I am in similar situation (parents won’t stay with me), but i used the family visa. My parents application is currently pending. On your mums visa put down the estimated costs but then there’s ...

Re: Long term visit visa for mother from Pakistan

Hi H Considering the cost of the visa application you should think is it really worth applying for the 5 year visa. I can see recently the HO have come up with new reasons to reject people’s visas specially cases where a person is widowed and doesn’t have stable financial instruments (income/propert...

Re: UK visit visa help

The reason for change and the supporting letter from the consulate must be provided. Explain in additional details section and a cover letter. He should also write he has used different name before.

Might be easier if he re applied for a new passport with correct name.

Re: Possible to change valid from date for visit visa?

If you request this change it may cause complications, at least for any future applications. You have been granted visa as per what you originally stated your intention. I suggest having a 15 day shorter trip. May I ask for a 6 month visit how much money need showing in your opinion. Considering acc...

Re: Help please

I know a couple where the husband had been illegal in the country and kept getting rejection for his spouse visa. A solicitor advised him to go back to India and apply from there. His spouse Visa was granted in 3 months. Suggest you seek professional advice but the difference in their case is that t...

Re: Visitor Visa for Mother-In-Law

Very very slim chances. Unless her circumstances change over there showing stronger than ever ties. and by the way whether she visited other countries, I don't think the chances will be better due to a newborn grandchild

She makes good money and has sufficient savings and her husband who is dependent on her and goes to university to study MBA, doesn’t have a bank account as he depends on my sister. Can I ask fo...

Re: Parents Sponsorship

You will have to jump through hoops.

You can definitely get the visa but you’ll need to show the booking for them and yourself. Funds in their account and your account. Explain in the letter the purpose of visit. Why would they rather meet you in the uk and not where you currently are

Re: Applying for UK visit visa outside of home country , possible ?

Your safest bet would definitely be to go back to your home country and apply from there. Although what you are saying makes sense but for some reason “legally present” really means eg on a work visa or permanent resident visa (something longer term than a visit visa)

Re: How many family member I can invite for family visit

Two answers My personal view is that the home office doesn’t have a sophisticated system whereby they punch in your name (at the time you sponsor your cousin) and the alarm bells start ringing that you already sponsored your parents. So considering that, you can invite (not necessarily sponsor) your...
