I think technically HSMP holders post Dec 06 are tier 1 category once it was renamed. Why I say this is because that is the only way you could get an extension. I would suggest to wait out 3-4 months and see !!, with new regulations in place they are making it hard for anyone outside EU to find a job, and if you have a dependend beware they might bring in a regulation where dependant doesn't automatically gets the right to be a part of labour market and ma...

hi guys, my status is as below:

Got HSMP approval in JULY 2007 & applied for EC
Got rejected in August 2007 & did the APPEAL.
Got APPEAL ALLOWED in Dec 2008
Applied for Visa stamping now.............

Any idea, what should be the period of validity....2 years or 3 years ?

no idea on how long does BHC take for stamping........i have submitted my passport today and as per VFS, i have to collect it back from VFS only and as per VFS staff, he will call me within a week time he said.
