Re: naturalization based on marriage with naturalized citizen

Good question, actually. Do not have the answer (consider as "up").

Re: OVER 6 WEEK RULE ABSENCE

I know from the application form that the 6 weeks rule is for each year of residency claimed. In my case, I was out the state for 8 weeks during the 1st year of residency and less than 6 weeks in the next 4 years of residency. As of today I am resident in the state for 5 years and 2 months. Has any...

Re: Rights whilst application in process

I think I am going to write back informing them of my legal right under EU law, and inform them that I have applied for my residence card. Do the former for now but not the latter yet. Telling that you applied for a residence card will open path for suspicion that you are going to divorse your Iris...

I submitted my expired card, as there was no ceremony date yet when I got approval. Didn’t have any problems. I would say just send the expired card to make sure you get the next ceremony.
Clever you, but it is not going to work out just like this (see here).

Do you think i should expect another letter ?
I would say so. Although it is more than nothing, it does not seem to be the invitation.

Re: Locking topics!

Just to avoid multiplication of similar topics, I will ask too. My topic was also locked. While the first topic to which further discussion was redirected by you is too generic, I created mine for a specific purpose. The fact that up to now there seem to be no instances of invitations to the ceremon...

Re: OVER 6 WEEK RULE ABSENCE

Hi- I'm slightly confused about this rule. My question is: Do we have to mention the absences which are longer than 6 week or all the trips needs to be mentioned if I was cumulatively out of Ireland for more than 6 week in any given year? E.g. I can have 7 trips of one week long. Does that count as...

any obvious changes in the form ?
The only change I noticed is about IRP vs. GNIB (and even this not everywhere where GNIB was originally mentioned).

Re: OVER 6 WEEK RULE ABSENCE

you can submit an additional letter detailing the reasons for the absence along with the application, I did the same and my application is now approved. Generally, this does not work. Although, I agree that there is a limited number of types of absences (like working abroad for an Irish company, of...
