I asked the vfs people. They informed me that it would take atleast 15 to 18 working days.

Hi smfrrajan, I applied for EC on 31st May. I tried to check my status in the vfs website. Even i got the same error. Again i tried on the next day. Now the status is " Application has been forwarded to the British High Commission.". So no need to worry.. just try next day. kind regards ps...

Hi All, This is the update from me. I sent the approval letter back to HO with a cover letter describing the spelling mistake and the correct firstname. I got the ammended letter just yesterday. It took around 2 weeks. Hope my experience will be useful for others in this forum. Thanks all..
