I dont know. I recall a member who got refund later on when he claimed after he got the decision. I cant remember the exact post tho.
Thanks for the response. I too am thinking of waiting for the decision and then filing a complaint as there has been no communication at all.

Re: Super Priority ILR application (SET-M) - been more than a week no update

Is there a phone number to call and check what is taking so long?

Moreover, isn't it a failure as per their claimed SLA for Super Priority service. If they said it will take 24 hours and have not delivered up to this claim, do you know a way to escalate this matter ?

Super Priority ILR application (SET-M) - been more than a week no update

Hello friends, My spouse submitted her SET-M ILR application under Super Priority (total £3018.20) service at the Croydon Sopra Steria office on 08-April-2019. As per the SLAs, the decision should be within 24 hours. At the Sopra Steria office, the person at the desk said it could take 24 working ho...

Re: Is FLR(M) now named as "Family Route" under Online application ?

Are you applying for spouse visa for 2nd extension? Yes, applying for 2nd extension. What is your situation so i can advice you accordingly. After 1st extension, my spouse is falling short of a few days for ILR, hence, I need to apply for FLR(M) extension again. When you apply for FLR M form online...

Thanks Lallen for confirming. I have asked for them to be notarised in India. Let's hope it is sufficient.

Getting birth certificates translated for FLR(M) or not ?

I am filling the application for my wife's FLR(M)/Family route extension. For reasons beyond my sanity, the online application is asking for Birth Certificates of me and my wife as our daughter is not applying for the visa along with my wife. The reason my daughter is not applying for visa is that s...

Re: When can spouse apply for ILR ?

Okay, thanks Zimba.

As there are few examples after online applications have started, I have decided not to take the risk and apply for visa extension and vary ILR application after getting the visa extended.

Many thanks for everyone's inputs and valuable suggestions.

Is FLR(M) now named as "Family Route" under Online application ?

I am thinking of applying for FLR(M) 2nd extension for spouse (why are we applying for 2nd extension - long story !!) When I went to the government website (https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/apply-to-extend-stay-in-the-uk-as-a-partner-or-dependent-child-form-flrm) to apply, it had the menti...

Re: When can spouse apply for ILR ?

Historically it takes more than that but I've seen faster decision times. I am not sure what the new online service will do to the timeframes We are planning to submit the ILR application on 11th January' 2019 hoping the caseworker will pick up the application within 28 days. As a final cautionary ...

Re: When can spouse apply for ILR ?

Thanks Zimba ! Thinkig about my previous reply to you for my case, I initially said the case worker must not pick up the application within the first 40 days. Is that right ? Or is it 12 days ? I ask because after 12 days the application will be within 28 days of qualification. Can you confirm pleas...

Okay. So, is the only other alternative is applying for another extension and then apply for ILR ?

Re: When can spouse apply for ILR ?

I appreciate your response and the fact that you can't say for sure.

However, in your experience, is 40 days or more reasonable for an application to be picked up by a case worker ?

Re: When can spouse apply for ILR ?

Hi Zimba, Thanks for your reply. Appreciate it has been long since we last exchanged posts. Based on your posts, I had waited up to this time to wait before preparing the application for my wife. Now, the time is closing in so, thought of checking a few things with you to be sure. Based on the above...

If yes, then won't 28 days before date of application earliest OP can apply for dependent or am I interpreting it wrong ?
This is exactly why I am confused and I think no matter when I apply there is a risk of rejection. Let me know what you think

Cancelled the appointment but no refund has been received

I had booked an appointment for my wife but needed to cancel it, but, I haven't received the refund of £2999. I have looked at this link just now: https://www.gov.uk/cancel-visa It says "you won’t get your fee refunded if you cancel an application that you made in the UK." Any idea how can...

Re: When can spouse apply for ILR ?

No as the date which is most beneficial to the applicant will be considered, not just the date of application or posting. Apply by post and she will be fine as most applications will not be processed for weeks after sending Do you reckon this is definitely going to work ? I really doubt that. Let m...

Re: When can spouse apply for ILR ?

It indeed was a bad move but at that time I wasn’t aware that the clock would get reset. I had always thought that her 5 year clock starts from when she entered the UK (November 2012) but clearly that was my misunderstanding. Having said that, even if I had not moved her from pbs dependent to LTR, h...
