Its not uncommon to receive this email even after a decision has already been made, or even on the same day as a decision will be made. Hopefully not a long wait for you. Yes, judging by our experiences, the confirmation email is sent the day they finish scanning and send your documents back (so you will probably receive them back the same or next day).
