Company Acquisition and Transfers

The company I am supposed to work for, A, was acquired by another company B, but will still be running "separately" from B. B is currently in the process of adding A onto their sponsor licence. However, my current study visa is coming to an end soon - possibly before HO approves the sponso...

Re: Extending Tier 4 Visa for Circumstances Outside my Control? Urgent.

Thanks for your reply. It's possible they would offer the tier 2 even if I apply from my country. They had the posting up for quite awhile (although they may need to repost at this point, not sure what the time limits for RLMT are). I will discuss the options with the company, and will likely seek l...

Extending Tier 4 Visa for Circumstances Outside my Control? Urgent.

Hello, I was just wondering if there was any way to extend my Tier 4 visa for say, 1 or 2 months. I finished my course in September, and the graduation ceremony was mid November. I have had an offer of employment since July, however, the company was acquired in September, and as such the conjoined c...

Re: Urgent - New Visa Process - Expiring Visa

Thank you - that is unfortunate to hear in terms of delaying my application. Is it possible for the employer to phone/email with my current visa to show it is expiring, in order for the HO to deem their application a priority? HR said the process could take "up to 3 months" which is cuttin...

Urgent - New Visa Process - Expiring Visa

Hi All, my tier 4 visa is expiring in January. I have an offer of employment and sponsorship from a company who was acquired, so their new sponsorship license application went out at the end of September. I am worried they won't receive their license in time for me to have a CoS by my visa expiratio...

Sponsorship Licence Processing / Visa Application without CoS?

Hi guys, I'm hoping to get some help with this situation. I was offered a job, however my prospective employer was acquired/merged with another company in September. They put in the application to change/update/move the sponsorship licence at the end of September. The company hasn't heard back from ...

Unrestricted Cos Times

Hi guys,

Does anyone have any insight as to how long it takes for a company to get an unrestricted CoS? Say if, they didn't have the allocation, how long would it take? I know for restricted they review it once a month, was wondering if it was the same for unrestricted.

Thanks!

Re: Sponsorship for Associate Companies?

Double check the ownership of Company A. If they are a subsidiary of Company B, then yes, you can be sponsored by Company A, provided they are sending the pay checks. Alternatively, Company A can get a branch license of Company B. But it really depends how it's all set up. Ask the company, you migh...

Re: Sponsorship for Associate Companies?

Hi all. I have tried to look this up to no avail, hoping someone could help. Say I want to work for Company A. They do not have a sponsor license. However, Company A is owned by Company B, and Company B DOES have a sponsor license. Would I be able to receive a sponsorship for the position with Comp...

Working on Tier 4 After Course

Hello, Does anyone know the specific rules around working on my Tier 4 after graduation? Specifically, I was looking to start work for an employer in September, go home in December (Visa expires January), apply for Tier 5 Mobile Youth, and return work for the same employer in the same job in January...

Tier 5 Mobile Online Application - Inside UK and Assessment in Canada?

Hello everyone, I am just wondering if anyone knows whether I am able to complete the online application for the Tier 5 Mobile Youth while in the UK, and then leave and complete the assessment centre/biometrics back in Canada. Is this allowed, or do they want the application form completed in Canada...

Re: "Durable relationship" under EEA (EFM)

Thanks for your reply. We are not currently able to live together due to certain circumstances. And, if I move back to Canada after my visa expires, we will not be able to live together for obvious reasons. Surely there is some way around this? How else do those in long distance relationships ever r...

"Durable relationship" under EEA (EFM)

Hi all. I am currently in the UK (from Canada) on a Tier 4 visa, and I'm hoping I'll be able to stay/return on a Tier 2 visa. However, should I not be able to find a sponsor this way, I was looking to apply as an EEA Extended Family member to my boyfriend (EEA member). By the time my visa expires, w...
