Any working while in the UK on a visitor visa is prohibited (this includes remote working, voluteering etc), just so you are aware.
This I did know. I more meant, I'm self employed so it was easy for me to take time off.

Out of interest/curiosity, what have you been doing in the UK for 6 months?
Helping my fiance take care of his ill mother after his father's sudden passing. Our stay needs to be significantly extended. I've worked remotely for the last 3 years, so it hadn't been an issue in that sense.

It should not but why have you waited till your visit visa entry stamp expired before applying for your British passport?
It was a stupid oversight on my part.

Re: Passport Question - Citizen by Descent

I phrased that really terribly. I meant that the "leave to enter" date has expired. I'm assuming that shouldn't be an issue as I was registered when I was little. Can you clarify the details of your Registration when you were little? Was your mother British otherwise than by descent at th...

Re: Passport Question - Citizen by Descent

I'm working on getting my first UK passport as I have citizenship through my mother (I was born in 1988 in the US), who is a citizen other than by descent. As I have been filling out the application it states that I will need to send in my US passport along with my other documents. Will it be an is...

Citizenship by Descent Question

Hopefully I'm posting this in the right place, if not, apologies. I was born in the U.S. to a British mother (otherwise than by descent) in August of 1988. I'm currently wanting to get my U.K. passport as I am currently located there. Is it correct that I am already a British Citizen? I am unsure if...
