Received approval in Sep 2018 and sent everything. Would be harsh to live without GNIB till May... :(

Hey, I am starting panicking here. Received approval end of Aug. Sent 950€ and pictures the next day. Sent gnib 3 weeks later (was renewing it). hi received letter from processing team 2 that my application is nearing the end stages and shortly they will issue a letter. they send me a letter when i rang to the office. does it mean i will hear about decision soon. does penalties and point on accident can effect on the decision i have 3 point...

The rule about 1 year of reckonable residence simply means that you must reside in Ireland for the whole year. Eg you couldn't live in Ireland for 4,5 years, then move to other country say for 2 years, then move back and apply just in 6 months. You need to reside for 1 year.

Even I wonder if there would be 2 ceremonies this year. Does anyone know if we could contact some TD/politician and ask them about the ceremony dates? what makes you think so? We could easily have a ceremony for September/October announced sometime in August and then another ceremony fro November/D...

Don't worry about this at all.
They stopped obligatory stamping passports of those with GNIB last year.

in 2017 it was 6850 2018 so far 3500 I thing there will be one small ceremony in a different country in summer and one between aug and December large one. From my understanding all ceremonies from Dublin have moved to Killarney, no? Ceremonies were held in Dublin last year and a small was held in L...
