Re: Need to reapply for ILR after passport renewal?

Many thanks for your response. Much appreciated. I was worried their British citizenship application could be rejected if we used ILR BRP card issued on previous passport.

Stay safe.

Re: Need to reapply for ILR after passport renewal?

Many thanks for your prompt reply, CR001. I think I might not have asked the correct question regarding 1. I understand they now have ILR and don't need to reapply for ILR. What I meant was whether they will have to apply for a new BRP card updated for the new passport before applying for British ci...

Need to reapply for ILR after passport renewal?

Dear all, Hope you are keeping well in these times. My spouse will complete 12 months on ILR and become eligible for British citizenship in August. They renewed their non-EEA passport last month as it was expiring before August. I have a couple of questions below: 1. Is it mandatory for them to reap...

Spouse eligible for BC a few months before I am

Dear all, Hope you are keeping well in these times. I have a query about when I will be eligible for BC. My spouse will apply for BC in August once they complete 12 months on ILR. I will complete my 12 months on ILR in October. If my spouse gets their BC before October, say in September, am I immedi...

Re: Tier 2 PBS Dependent applying for ILR. Spouse already received ILR

Many thanks for the link, CR001. I wasn't sure as I didn't know whether the '28 days before' included 22/10/2019 (in which case I could apply on 25/09/2019 at the earliest) or whether it excluded 22/10/2019 (in which case I could apply on 24/09/2019 at the earliest). It seems that '28 days before' d...

Re: Tier 2 PBS Dependent applying for ILR. Spouse already received ILR

Many thanks for the information tier11417. You have been very helpful. I'm fine with travelling and paying for an appointment if required. But I would like to submit the application as soon as possible, but not before being actually eligible! Would others on this forum kindly weigh in on my situatio...

Re: Acknowledgment letter for online application

Thanks all for your helpful replies. I'm updating this as it might be helpful to others. It seems they don't send out acknowledgement letters for online applications. I emailed the HR the Unique ID Number on the Biometric Enrollment Form, which was automatically generated when we submitted the onlin...

Re: Acknowledgment letter for online application

Thanks for your reply dj. The letters for the biometric were generated automatically at the time submission of the online application. Hence, we were able to go for it after printing these out. Does this mean that we won't be receiving an acknowledgment letter now? How would we give our employers pr...

Acknowledgment letter for online application

Hi all. My wife and I applied for a Tier 2 Extension and a PBS Dependent extension online via Standard route on 26th May 2018. We posted the documents required in the checklist produced online via next day delivery a couple days later (both passports, photos for both, previous BRPs for both, and a p...

Re: Tier-2 PBS Dependent route to ILR

Hi Char. Many thanks for all of your very helpful inputs! :D I just had one small comment. Yes, you have to show maintenance funds for 90 days. I have just applied for PBS Dependant extension with my partner for their Tier 2 General Extension and neither of us had to show maintenance. We applied tog...
