Travel between naturalisation application submission and bioemetric

Hi, I have an urgent business trip scheduled for the day after I intend to submit my naturalisation application. I plan to book my biometric appointment for a few weeks later, upon my return to the country. Is it permissible to travel AFTER submitting my naturalisation application but BEFORE my biom...

[Urgent query] Acceptable non-British referees for naturalisation

I have reviewed numerous threads here but haven't found a definitive answer, prompting my inquiry. Given my planned business trip right after my naturalisation application, I'm eager to proceed with the application and biometrics ASAP hence this urgent query. My five-year-old son and I are applying ...

MN1 validity query for non-UK born child; less than a year on ILR

Starting a new thread as my previous question was answered incorrectly due to the ambiguity of the question itself. Child born: March 2019 Place born: Outside the UK Parents' status when child was born: Tier 2 skilled worker visa (NOT settled) Child living in the UK since: May 2019 (over 5 years no...

Re: Urgent help: MN1 application query; child needs to travel abroad

Dear All, My wife, son, and I received our ILR on October 23 through my 5-year skilled worker visa route. My spouse and son were my dependents, and we obtained our ILR together last October. My son was born outside the UK . My wife and I will continue to stay on ILR, but we are planning to proceed ...

Re: ILR qualifying date

Thanks, that shows my ignorance! My final question: qualifying period being applicable from visa vignette start day holds true for dependent visa holders as well? The reason I ask is as I was advised by someone that for dependents it is the entry date in the UK and not the visa vignette start date. ...

Re: ILR qualifying date

Thank you so much. I did read about Section C trawling through 100s of pages but was still confused.

Thanks again!

Re: ILR qualifying date

Thank you so much for a swift response.

Meaning, I can treat the start date on the vignette as the date of my initial visa and apply 5 years less 28 days of that date? Even though I actually entered the UK a fortnight after that?

ILR qualifying date

My Tier 2 Skilled Worker dependent visa was granted on 15/10/18. But I entered the UK on 26/10/18. Dates on passport vignette: valid from 15/10/18 until 14/11/18 Date of issue on BRP: 19/10/18 The date I actually entered the UK: 26/10/18 Expiry date of my current BRP: 27/09/23 As I understand from t...

PBS Dependant visa application in the middle of Primary applicant switching jobs

Dear Admins, I needed urgent help on a rather unique (I hope not) situation. I was sponsored for Tier 2 General by employer #1 between April 2018 and May 2021. I am currently sponsored on Tier 2 General by employer #2 between September 2020 and September 2023 (and hence my previous sponsorship was c...

Re: How long have you lived in the UK? PBS Dependant Visa question

Also, there's a weird question my son's dependant visa (and wasn't there on my spouse's dependant visa questionnaire): Select why you were in the UK: Tourism (including visiting family and friends) Work Study Transit (travelling through the country) Other reason Do I say Work (for my dependant son) ...

How long have you lived in the UK? PBS Dependant Visa question

Hi, I'm filing PBS Dependant visa for my spouse and son to switch their visa to my current sponsor's visa (and hence, technically not an extension as my employer/sponsor has changed but visa category remains unchanged). I am currently on Tier 2 (General), i.e. Skilled Worker Visa. There's a question...
