Re: New citizenship form UKF

There's nothing unusual about authorities requesting an older passport with relevant information included within it. There are sections within both UKF and UKM (I'm in the latter category) asking for various older passports applicable to the case. I see, well thanks for all your replies, you've bee...

Re: New citizenship form UKF

But in any case even if I decide not to search it/or I can't manage to find it, I should describe everything in the "additional information" section is that what you suggest? This is up to you. We don't know what information you are dealing with . It seems you are dealing with resolving t...

Re: New citizenship form UKF

They are asking for your prior British passports, or those in which you were previously included . Since you just registered , you would have no uncanceled British ones and only the canceled ones of your father . It’s really up to you to decide whether to search for your father’s old passports or n...

Re: New citizenship form UKF

In the "previous passport section" it states: "If the applicant has held or been included on a British passport before you must state this here. Provide the passport number below. You must send it with the application." I'm pretty sure I was included on my late fater passport wh...

Re: New citizenship form UKF

Hi all, apologize for double posting (even though it's not the exact same post  ). Has anybody applyed for his/her first passport after obtaining the certificate of registration? I was about to do so online (the only way for me since I live abroad), but I've got a doubt I haven't solved yet...

Online overseas passport application

Hi all! I hope this hasn't been asked before. I've recently obtained my certificate of registration and I was trying to apply online for my first british passport (I live in Italy), but I have a few doubts. In the "previous passport section" it states: "If the applicant has held or be...

Re: New citizenship form UKF

Hi all! I just wanted to tell you that today I've finally become a British Citizen. It took a little bit more than three months (I enrolled my biometrics on August 30). I didn't receive any invitation letter but just a phone call from the embassy informing me that the certificate was ready. Then i e...

Re: New citizenship form UKF

Hi all! I've submitted my application with the NCS service and I wanted to update you. I've been at the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea on August 15, and, despite what's written on the website, they were indeed able to give advice on the application. In fact, we went through all the applicat...

Re: New citizenship form UKF

Hi all, it's me again :D Does anybody know precisely how does the registration certificate's number look like (how many digits for example)? My father's certificate is pretty old; the only numbers I could find are on top of the front page, but I don't know which of the 2 of them is correct: the one...

Re: New citizenship form UKF

@nlworth Thank you very much for your reply :D So let me see if I have it right. I'm a lawyer working at a lawfirm, to which I issue an invoice each month for the same amount, and that's how I get paid. I'd be considered employed then? Cause in Italy lawyers are always considered self-employed

Re: New citizenship form UKF

@CR001, @alanwar thank you very much for your replies, they helped a lot! Guess I'll just leave the "tax office" part blank. Does also the employment part matter only if you reside in the UK? As I mentioned in one of my previous posts I'm not sure in which category I would fall, whether em...

Re: New citizenship form UKF

I don't know what DOB and SA Identity number are (my father left SA in the late fifties). I live in Italy, and no they didn't get married unfortunatley. Re: New citizenship form UKF

@alanwar Do you think I have enough supporting documentation? I've got my father's registration certificate, his last passport and my uk birth certificate. I actually haven't got a clue on how to get my father's birth certificate as he was born in South Africa, I fear it would be almost impossible f...

Re: New citizenship form UKF

@alanwar Yes i'll go next month and let you know.

Can anybody help me with my doubts (written in my first post) regarding how to fill the employment status, tax office, and grandparents' details? Is my father's death certificate necessary?

Thanks in advance!

Re: New citizenship form UKF

Hi everybody! I'm so glad I've found this amazing forum, it's hard to find information on the UKF application. I'd like to ask you for some advice. I was born in the UK in 1988 from a British father and an Italian mother, not married. I've got the following supporting documents: My english birth cer...

Re: UKM application experience and timeline

Hi all, I just wanted to share with you my experience applying for British citizenship via the UKM route (I live in Cape Town, South Africa). My application was not a straight-forward one. I'll just give you a brief overview. My grandfather was born in the UK (Middlesex) in 1910 and my grandmother ...
