Re: British Citizenship – Good Character Requirement help

I forgot to mention an important factor, in 2006 in Portugal my partner and I formed a "De Facto Union" and this was what allowed me to apply for my RC as a family member (Not the fact we were unmarried couple) Will the HO refuse my application saying I failed the Good Character requiremen...

British Citizenship – Good Character Requirement help

Hello all, I have a question regarding the good character requirement. I'm non-eu and moved from Spain to the UK with my EEA unmarried partner in Oct 2008. I received from the Spanish HO a residence card as family member of EEA citizen that was valid until 2013. I stayed in the UK without applying f...

Re: Permanent residence

Hi Thiagocas, Just the fact you claimed benefits it's not grounds for a refusal of your application. For the PR you need to show you exercised your EEA treaty rights in the UK for 5 years and this can be a mix of employment, self employment and looking for work(it's perfectly acceptable for people t...

Re: Universal Credit denied depite having PR

Hello rs315, Sorry for posting here.I've read on another thread that you applied and got your PR with an expired RC like me, you mentioned that you had help to create a good covering letter leaving no room for the HO to deny your request. I'm about to apply for PR with a RC expired in 2015 and your ...

Re: How should I fill Section 9 of the EEA PR form?

My understanding is, if your father is a worker, pays for yours bills and you live in the same address as him, he is the qualified person. Saying that, nothing stops you from applying on your own, but if you do, as a student you will definitely need CSI. 9.5: Do I just fill in the school i went to a...

Re: WON EEA APPEAL WAITING FOR RC ,PLEASE ADVISE HOW LONG ?

Hello Rajakar1971
Congrats on winning the appeal.
Why reasons did the HO give to refuse your application?

Re: Retained right with expired RC?

Anyone in here in a similar situation (applied for PR with a long expired RC but has ROR) I read a post from user rs315 that was similar, but I don't know if anyone else here has any advice to give me?

Thanks a lot

Re: Retained right with expired RC?

Do you think I should mention on my covering letter that the reason why I didn't apply for a ROR RC immediately after the divorce is because of lack of collaboration from my partner in providing me with all necessary documents? My ex and I are now in a good place and she provided me with all, ID, ba...

Re: Retained right with expired RC?

Thanks for your replies.

My boss consulted the company solicitor who told him even if my RC was expired I still had the right to reside in the UK as the residence card only confirmed the right. I'm a worker and my earnings are declared to HMRC. I have payslips to prove this.

Re: Retained right with expired RC?

I've just found this thread here that made me very confused: https://www.immigrationboards.com/eea-route-applications/apply-retaining-right-of-resident-need-help-t241343.html Members Hstepper07 and Richard W presented their arguments but I don't know what conclusion to take from this. My RC expired ...

Re: Applied EEA FM some quesrions

Hi peaceandlove, I managed to open a savings account with Halifax completely online 2 years ago, I didn't have to submit anything, but they carried out a credit score check in order to establish my identity. I don't know if they still have this type of account but it's worth checking as it was very ...

Retained right with expired RC?

Hello all, I am a Brazilian national about to apply for PR on basis of retained right of residence after being divorced of my EEA partner. We got married in the UK in 2009, I applied for a residence card in 2010 that expired in December 2015. My partner and I left the UK in 2011 and lived in Brazil ...
