Congrats, wish you all the best What were the questions that were asked about your Spouse They asked me when we met, when we met in person, what his job is and to see his work contract (suprisingly not his payslips), how long he has been in the UK (he is Australian with Right of Abode) and to see o...

His mother is British born and he was born 1972 in Australia, qualifying his ROA. Firstly, a person who "will be admitted for settlement in the UK when arriving there, and intends permanent settlement in the United Kingdom." is eligible to sponsor for a spouse visa. This comes straight fr...

Re: SNAFU with husbands Right of Abode cert...No Passport st

Walked into Los Angeles today with all my carefully organized documents (and I cannot emphasise organization is essential!) Handed over my passport, his passport, marriage cert, divorce decree and the other requested things. She hunted around his passport and said "where is his evidence of res...

What nationality is your husband? My husband is Australian. Just looked at the copy of his passport and it clearly is written 7 Feb 03. No stamp, just the cert. We speculate that they are checking out the validity through the UK govt in London and are just not saying it. I can understand... I guess...

I am trying to enjoy it... Nerve wracking, but with all the things we have going for us, Him having a job, our own flat with both our names on it and my substantial bank amount, I am sure I can walk into LA and walk out visa in hand.
Thanks for the reassurance. :)

Sorry for the confusion in my post. I am very wound up about not just this visa thing, but other things too. I was very tired when I wrote my post. What I am worried about is the wording. I must be reading it wrong to mean that since we got married (in the US) and then I entered the UK as a visitor ...

Missing Payslips! Where do we go to get copies?!

I sent my beloved home to England today after him taking an emergency 3 month hiatus because I was in the hospital, being carful not to overstay his visitor visa here in the States. We originally meant to begin the process of going through the US visa process but a month ago decided that because his...
