Re: Child Under 18 Born Outside UK

When I divorce the mum in 2006, A divorce proceeding from the Islamic court was given to me stating that I have the sole custody of the child, also there was a parental agreement document in 2006 between me and the mum stating that I have full custody of the child. All this documents were dated in ...

Re: Child Under 18 Born Outside UK

It's a bit last minute for this plan. The child in question is 17 years old at moment and he will turn 18 next year. It will be hard to justify how come that he lived 17 years with him mum and just now as he is going to his 18, there is sudden change of custody and an immigration application. It wil...

Re: schengenvisum and getting eu passport

When you are applying for citizenship you have to be very cautious to not to put yourself in difficult situation with any law of the land. However, it's very unlikely that an overstay of a relative on tourist visa would escalate to the point where it will hamper your efforts to get the citizenship. ...

Re: Portugal Citizenship - from Pakistan

Hello I don't understand everything. It seems that more context is needed here. The UK is going through Brexit at the moment. I am not sure the EEA route would be open in 6 years time. I think every long plan term should consider this eventuality. For bringing adult relatives, usually the dependency...

Re: Residency Card- extended family member working rights

1)What rights will I be given as a extended family member of an EEA national? Even if you work be especially careful to maintain the conditions of your EEA EFM card, namely: - You are dependent on your sponsor and/or - Part of the same household Note that for unmarried partners you don't need to be...

Re: Unstamped Bank Statements

If the bank doesn't want to stamp, you can go to your online banking and request 6 months account statements. Some banks may do it for free, some may charge £2 or £3 per month for that. The good thing is that you receive statements printed on original bank headed paper. So no stamps are required her...

Re: Warning re scanning documents in Pakistan

Crazy that they don't have in place any mechanism to detect IT glitches! A simple system to acknowledge reception of documents and detect errors would be enough.

At least it's good that they admitted the error is on their side.

Re: eea family permit

Hello As you live in Norway, you can't t apply for permit in Italy even if you are Italian. Now, imagine you apply for EEA permit in Noway (or even apply in Italy) that permit would be EEA but tied to the country where it was delivered. A non-EEA national with an EEA permit delivered in Norway can o...

Re: TRANSFER Long-Term Residence Permit

A PR in an EU country is not transferable to any other country. A PR in a EU country allows you to travel to most EU countries (UK excluded) but doesn't allow you to work or settle. If you want to live in Germany, you have to go through their immigration routes in order to see if any is applicable t...

She wasn't issued any visa while accompanying us (2 British citizens ) through the border and has been in France by herself since we had to return to work. Hello As non-EEA + British citizenship holder living in the UK, you cannot invoke the EC Directive. You are fully under UK immigration laws in these matters. Depending on his history, an UE citizen + British citizenship holder can in certain cases (Lounes). However, regardless of the situation, it's...

Re: ILR and Part Time Work

Hello

They don't see how long you work but how much you earn.

If your part time is above the minimum required, it should be enough.

However, something needs clarification. Is the job itself above the minimum required or it reaches the minimum only if you consider overtime?

Re: Immigration to France for my elderly mum

Hello, 1 - Your brother has to be actually in France exercising Treaty rights in order to use the Directive to try to get an EEA residence for your mum. It may or may not work and it could be a lengthy process. But in any case, your brother has to show that he actually lives and pay taxes in France....

To travel under that Directive, you have to hold a current/valid EEA family member card with this statement printed on it:

Your wife has to hold an EEA passport (any except the British)

Still, if your sponsor is British and EEA and you went by mistake through the normal route, they should find out and dire...
