UKVCAS (new service) delays?

I am failing to find out about the progress of my naturalisation process (EU national) with the relevant authorities. Going through posted timelines here makes me increasingly anxious that something went wrong with the new service I used (I went to the Brighton Library popup, where staff had incredi...

I'm a Polish citizen, so I'd say chances of the German government getting involved in my case are pretty slim!
Oooops, so sorry. Not sure why I made the assumption. Apologies.
Yes, all EU countries handle this differently.

Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Process

What I'm unsure about is how this all looks with Brexit ahead. I should be able to get the confirmation of Permanent Residence and apply for naturalisation before the 29th of March, but what happens to my application if it's not processed by the time the UK leaves the EU? As in, how does it affect ...

Re: British Citizenship - New Online Application

(1) When will we be able to 'register' for booking online appointments in the website -https://www.ukvcas.co.uk There is only login option, but no such option to 'register'. Will an account be automatically created after submitting our online application form? What login shall we use? is it the sam...

Re: British Citizenship - New Online Application

There is no "fast" option for naturalisation, no premium or same day service. Naturalisation is not an immigration application, it comes under British Nationality laws. UKVI quote a six months processing time, but it could be as little as little as one to three months. For the rest of the...

Re: British Citizenship - New Online Application

I left feeling very worried and uncertain and i also left without any confirmation of the appointment or that my documents had been scanned etc. Wow, very much echoing what I've been through. May I suggest that you complain on the Sopra Steria website to create a record of your experience? https://...

Re: British Citizenship - New Online Application

I arrived 1hr early (just in case), so was ok to wait until my actual appointment time when they mentioned there was a massive backlog. The staff were very nice (Brighton Library staff - who told me they had no more than 5mins training/induction on the system). When my actual appointment time came a...

Re: British Citizenship - New Online Application

I just called the HO and was told that the issues with this new system have been widely reported and are known. Apparently, there is indeed no written or otherwise tangible assurance for a successful appointment completion and document upload. So the fact that we didn't receive anything (not even an...

Re: British Citizenship - New Online Application

You are right. The ukvcas.co.uk website has not changed any of my details. The appointment (which is now in the past) can still be cancelled, new documents could still be uploaded, deleted etc. This entire new process is a ridiculous shambles - a reflection of everything else happening in our countr...

Re: British Citizenship - New Online Application

I asked how long before I know the result, the guy doing the checks didn't know and couldn't advise either. Just said please call the number. How do I know how long this will take, any ideas anyone? Did you by any chance get any type of confirmation that the process was completed successfully? In f...

Re: British Citizenship - New Online Application

I just went through the "NEW SERVICE" on Monday and the experience was atrocious: 1. completed online application and payment on UKVI within which I had to decide between "new" and conventional service processing. Decided to use the new service after checking available of freshly...

Re: Unsuccessful applications

Hi Kat, really sorry to hear that. May I ask when you applied for your Residency card (i.e. when did that mistake happen)? Officially there's little you can do. However it is wrong to simply withhold such large sums of money based on such a zero-service, minor formality (rules or no rules). I theref...

Re: Life in UK certificate not returned

Interesting - so if I qualified in March 2002 but only applied in July 2018, I can apply for naturalisation immediately upon receipt of the card. Correct?

Re: Life in UK certificate not returned

I hope you can sort it out. That's outrageous that they didn't return the original test result. Have you tried contacting the place where you took the test? You should be in their system. Maybe they can issue a new result certificate? When my application was rejected (for the same reason, btw. - wro...

Re: British Citizenship Refused - UK Registration Card not provided

To all who have unknowingly ended up with the wrong residency card - suspect EEA(QP) instead of EEA(PR): I am convinced the official website for naturalisation of EU citizens (gov.uk/british-citizenship) has been mis-leading, or at least falsely signposting to the wrong document for quite a while. ...

OMG, this exact thing happened to me (pls. read below the quote)... ... . What matter is to TICK THE BOXES. nothing more nothing less. nothing to do with being 'british'. So. I have been refused because this box wasn't ticked : i have a Registration Certification of Permanent Residency, but NOT a P...
