Re: When do I get my passport back?

It is not the norm normally, but it is becoming the norm now due to Brexit. Their website states that their phone lines are down for the whole of this month, but someone on this forum stated that they were able to get through the call. This is the fastest way of getting through them. As calling is ...

Re: Citizenship application in process and about to get separated.

I wonder what reason they will give to refuse my application. We were not getting along well with each other and it was stressing both of us out so one day she decided to ask me to leave and I left. No one else involved and there was no other reason than we were not happy together. I am looking in ...

Re: Application time Analysis

I've done further analysis on the data I collect from this forum. For those who watch the timeline threads closely, you probably know this intuitively, but I think it's always helpful to back up intuition with data. With the recent wave of approvals, there is quite a bit more data to look at. In to...

Re: Application time Analysis

I decided to do a bit of analysis with the info people have posted in the 2017 & 2018 timeline threads Of 43 applications in 2017 the average time from application to approval was 10.44 months with the shortest being 4 months and the longest 18. A backlog is visible in the last quarter of 2017....

Re: Citizenship by marriage to an Irish citizen

If you renew your GNIB after it expires, that will count as a break. You should always renew it beforehand. The official advice is, you can renew it two weeks before it expires. 3-4 weeks should be fine too as long as you have a valid reason (e.g. you need to travel abroad very soon, or if you can’...

Re: IRELAND MARRIAGE INTERVIEW QUESTIONS

I was married in North and have never heard of this. Is this a common thing done before the wedding? Or is this ever done later in the immigration process? Crossing my fingers that I don't have a surprise coming up that'll be another delay :?

Re: No June 2019 Citizenship ceremoney

I’m not sure where you got it. If you call or email them to ask whether you will be included in that one, they will tell you there is no such ceremony, just like the one in concert hall last year. There is a reason that they don’t advertise these smaller ceremonies any more on websites. Are you say...

Re: delay in citizenship application - applied in 2016

These delays are unreasonable: I believe that is about time somebody takes this matter to court. There is a precedence for that. As mentioned in the following link, EU law requires the processing to be completed in 6 months. http://www.thejournal.ie/high-court-allows-immigrants-to-challenge-ministe...
