There is no minimum/maximum limit to be eligible, you just have to convince\prove to the ECO that you meet the criteria and are genuine. Will you be financing the trip or your father? As I sponspored my in laws completely.

Yuo need to show his ties to his home country, that is where most people fall short, does he get a pension, where does that go, can you not show proof of this as his income?

I have seen people say FDs are not taken into account, becasue they are not tangible. But when my in laws applied they supplied FD proof as well as normal bank statments and it was fine for us.

Good Luck! I hope its successful, you can track using http://www.bluedart.com just put your GWF reference in, numbers no letters, and if it begins with 0, don't include the 0. Change the option from waybill to ref no.

There are no set guides, it is up to you to provide the required supporting documents. I would say yes regarding the employment letter.

I don't believe thats the case. But if your parents\mother are staying in the UK every year for 4 months, then I'm sure the ECO will see this as residing, rather than visiting. They'll need to be translated if they are not in english.My in-laws took theirs to a Notary. They took the orginal along, but i don't think they took it.
