Hello, I have a friend who is a naturalised British citizen, lives permanently in his home country and has 9 year old twins born there (outside the UK). Spouse is not British. Do I understand correctly that kids are automatically British and what is the right way to confirm their citizenship and get...

A while ago there was a topic here about fees for the private ceremonies. We have obtained 4 approvals together and contacted our council to organise a private ceremony. I can confirm that they charge fees per ceremony, not per number of people attending. Therefore, fees for 4 people and for 1 perso...

AN application has been approved, but the ceremony will be held in 8 weeks. And I'm just curious, what are the rules for this period between decision and ceremony? Am I still obliged to keep the HO updated on any changes like address, fine or anything? Could not find any info...

I wonder if things would be easier if we had a system where we could see the status, even if most of the time we would only see something like "Application being considered". I agree, but at least we would know that our application has not been lost and someone, apart from the applicant, ...
I used an expired certificate for my AN application. When I applied, I attached a cover letter to my application and in the language requirements part I wrote as follows: "I hold Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) in the UK, which was granted on the basis that I passed a (test name) on (date) at ...
Thank you. It was the same case with me: in timeline I saw someone who applied on the same day as I did, same route, simple case like mine and got their decision like in 20 or so days. You can imaging how I felt for the next almost 50 days. This is frustrating, but little you can do. I also do not f...
I think all feel alike to some extend. It is difficult, but try not to worry at least before 3 month time. I have just got my approval today - 79 days from submission.

Anyone know how long it takes for the B1 English qualifications to be sent out? I need it to arrive the latest on Friday, my test is on Tuesday. I also paid for the enhanced delivery. How long did it take for your certificate to arrive guys?
Normally for Trinity it takes a week for delivery.
i disagree with a reply above saying Pakistani applicants are scrutinised more then others. common we all were grated ILR.. hopefully we all hear soon too... Well, it is not about specifically Pakistani granted or not granted something, it is about different checks they run on different nationaliti...
This was posted in the thread where discussion is prohibited: Compared to most of the posts in this thread, my application took a bit longer. Java97's application also seems to have taken a tad longer. And we both finally got our approval. I am wondering if it is a mere coincidence that we both happ...
I keep monitoring the timelines and have noticed that time for decision depends on the route a lot. Is there any information if it as well depends on applicant's nationality? I mean, are the good character or whatever checks all the same for everybody or not?
You can use expired certificate if it had been used for previous applications with HO, but still there is a strict condition that the test and the centre must be on their list. Otherwise you have to take another test.
