Re: Foreign Birth Registration?

It looks like the UK photograph size will fit inside the Irish size requirements which is good. I also don't think I have read about anyone's application being rejected because of that but I could be wrong. Now I just need to somehow find a witness which is proving very difficult, doctor, priest, s...

Re: Employment visa refused - bank statement not submitted

As per the checklist provided by the vfs they said no need of bank statement. I double check with the visa officer while submitting documents she said I don’t need to. But still visa was refused. I'm sorry to hear that you were informed that you don't need to submit a bank statement. If you have a ...

Re: Near to getting passport but have to go live overseas, what can I do?

Remember you will be both required to submit 3 evidences for each year to prove that you live here. You need to *both* live in Ireland in the same address for 3 years. Even if you keep your apartment, bank account, utilities etc, it is still inevitable that the usage on these statements/bills will b...

Re: Naturalization Query - Fine Record and Springboard Course

A tricky thing here, I contacted the LUAS for the fine invoice, they can't even find the record of my fine after providing them my appeal number, name and address. I wonder it would have been a problem if I couldn't attach fine invoice after the disclosure of this fine fact.... I have a traffic fin...

Re: Naturalization Query - Fine Record and Springboard Course

Springboard course - no harm either way. I had a lot of part-time courses and certifications, but that is my own hobby and I think the minister wouldn't mind if what I want to do after work. Fine on Luas - that is definitely an offence of the Bye-Law and you are obliged to disclose that. Disclose t...

Re: Ireland - incorrect entry stamp by the Immigration Officer

Hi Mal111, Thanks for the response. I was looking for appointments in Burgh Quay. But latest are coming in 2 months. I'm using the GNIB application as well. Any idea if local immigration officer can change the stamp? I'm closer to Limerick and Cork. Just go there. There is a window 15 or window 1 (...

their are only 3 steps once the application get into second stage character check, submission of file to ministers office and final decision. Actually I wonder if there's an official statement on what each stage is doing. Based on responses received, we have: Initial stage -- Check all documents, s...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration?

Congratulations to all who have received their certificates. I am just applying for my FBR and was wondering if the passport sized photographs I need to include should be Irish sized ones or is it ok to include UK sized ones? They are the same size - standard 2-inch photo (normally 35x45mm). Irelan...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration for naturalized Citizens

Someone said from DFA few weeks ago over the phone" there is no time frame for non-white Irish citizens" If these are their exact words, it would constitute r.acial discrimination, be it the discrimination from this staff or DFA. The Equal Status Acts clearly states that providing a less ...

Re: American buying and using a holiday home in Ireland

littlerr, with respect, the Stamp 0 process is far from easy and I believe requires more than a simple letter. It requires proof of health insurance, income of at least €50,000 per person and liquid assets of at least €150,000. And I do not want to spend a year in Ireland, only 3 months per visit a...

Re: American buying and using a holiday home in Ireland

There is no requirement whatsoever to purchase a home in Ireland, as long as you pay everything upfront by yourself. (If you need a mortgage provided by an Irish bank, things would get much more complicated.) However, there is also no entitlement to residence here regardless of whether you have a ho...

Naturalisation - Traffic Offence in another EU country

Hi guys, I wonder if anyone put a very minor traffic offence down in their application. There's a bit of complication in my case. Back in March this year, I rented a car in a different EU country and was caught by speed camera that I was driving 107km/h in a 100km/h zone. To be fair, I just drove pa...

Based on your nationality flag on your profile, I'm going to guess that your parents are Indians living in India as their normal residence. Under BIVS, an Indian that resides in India can use a British Standard Visa to visit Ireland, as long as they present to the a UK port first. The eligible Briti...
