Yes, we forgot to send the certified copy of the original birth certificate. It looks that the translation has to be done in Ireland by a certified translat...

Yes, you were legally resident as an EU citizen and you don't need a visa/stamp in your passport.

You have to prove your residency by providing tax certificates, bills, mortgage agreement, etc.

Read the explanations at the end of form 8.

I passed by GNIB/INIS office yesterday on my way home and I've noticed about 20 people with posters, they didn't look to happy (it was miserable outside). Every three weeks I do some night work and on my way home at around 5:30 am. I can see people (immigrants) waiting outside . Yesterday all those ...

Go to GNIB as soon as you get the letter from DOJ with the acknoledgement that they've received your application for EU treaty rights, GNIB should give you STAMP4 for 6 months, based on that letter. This will allow you to work for 6 months until you get your application processed. ________ IRISH REC...

Why not just carry a real Irish passport? Hi ca.funke, Having Irish citizenship and an Irish passport doesn't solve all the problems. Let's say that you are Indian or Ukrainian and you haven't renounced to your nationality after you got your Irish citizenship. If you have to go back home you will h...

Stamp 4 EUFam - no re-entry visa for Ireland needed!

Hi All, As I found out today the Visa office is not issuing anymore re-entry visas to Stamp 4 EUFam holders. Now this can be a good thing but it could lead to problems as well. I am concerned that my wife could be stoped boarding a flight back to Ireland by the likes of Ryan Air or check-in personel...

UKStephen, I would go to GNIB first and tell them your situation. The EU treaty rights section doesn't have a good record and it takes them longer than 6 months to process applications.
