Ceremony invitation council not received certificate

Apologies if this was asked before. But do you know the lead time from approval letter to when the council receives the certificate. My wife’s application approval letter was received on 19th December dated 18th December. I contacted the council same day they stated that they have not received certi...

Re: UKVI surveys

Hi Did you get a decision yet? I am on the same boat applied on 11th November and today got a request to complete the survey even though haven’t received an outcome letter or email yet. Looking at timelines it usually takes about 7 days from decision to receipt of approval letter so I will keep my e...

Re: invitation letter

Hi From experience the letter can help support an application but we had my spouse mother visit visa refused even though we said we will cover all expenses. Their refusal is based on her status in her country of residence in terms of jobs/assets so they were not sure if she has enough reasons to ret...

ILR (m) finance category A or B

Hi I am a bit confused even after reading a few similar circumstances. I am applying for SET M for my spouse. I have been with the same employer for many years. In September I have taken a new role with same employer. Prior to September I was on secondment with same employer on a slightly higher sal...

Re: Trinity certificate verification.

I think I found an answer. The verification app clearly shows the candidate gender. I am not going to chance it. Will call trinity on Monday and see what the can do. Otherwise we will take a fresh test I would rather lose £150 than £3000. Frustrating as Mrs had Ielts academic, made her take A2 unnec...

Trinity certificate verification.

Hi all I have a strange situation regarding my wife’s ILR m. I am in the process of preparing the application and today she sat b1 trinity exam and passed it. However as she was leaving the centre they noticed that she was entered as male under gender (fat fingers from my part must have entered it i...

Re: Voluntary Return Question

Hi I went through this process about 12 years ago. It is standard procedure as you get your passport once you have checked in and passed security checks. I think the removal desk will give you papers to allow you to check in without your passport (if they haven’t given you a letter already) so I wou...

Re: Visa extension do i need to retake english test

Simon I have to correct you am afraid, paragraph 32d of FLR se clearly states conditions when a previous test could be accepted to meet English requirement. This includes certificates used on previous application even if it is no longer accepted or expired as long as it meets current required level ...

Hello there I understand your predicament, I applied yesterday for my Mrs FLR and we had the same confusion. I actually ended up asking her to do A2 trinity colleague test even though she had ILETS academic which is a higher level (don't know exactly which level but higher than A2 which is required ...

Re: English test day before premium appointment.

Just a quick update Casa you are correct. Centre stated that it can take up to 48hrs before the data becomes available online. Luckily we have the older test which should be ok but have this as a backup incase the caseworker is not satisfied with the past test.

Re: UK Language Test Certificate - Advice please

hi, I am no expert but from FLR SE 32D Your wife won't need another test as it was accepted on previous application and at A2 level: 32D. If an applicant applying for limited leave to enter or remain under Part 8 or Appendix FM submits an English language test certificate or result and the Home Offi...

Just for the benefit of other readers, Will trinity college provisional results not be accepted (or not appear on UKVI checking system) until certificate is issued in 7days?

Re: English test day before premium appointment.

Oh dear, just found out about paragraph 32 on FLR m se, she passed ILETS at a higher level and accepted for entry clearance so looks like I wasted £150 on an A2 test which is not needed! I am not going to tell her she doesn't need it :)

English test day before premium appointment.

Hello members Quick question, we have an English test today for A2 for FLR m, our appointment is tomorrow with Ukvi. Assuming we pass the test can we use the SELT reference as provided by trinity college on email (booking number) or do we need to wait for the certificate before going to appointment ...
