Re: Foreign Birth Registration

What was the last FBR completion time for a USA applicant? The DFA told me 13 months. I will be at the 8th month this Sunday.

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Jaxx The computer clock thing just beggars belief. It's one of those things that is just so stupid that you would never believe it could be true. I changed the clock as a last resort because I could never get the webchat to work. I felt a slight thrill when it actually began to function and I made ...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

I decided to call again, was told to try back in September.. which will make it 13 months.. application recieved in Dublin 8/21/18, direct from USA 13 months is inexcusable. They should at least explain what the hold up is. His exact words “I see you called in the past and spoke with me in January,...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Good Evening to all Fellow FBR applicants, I thought that I might share both my timeline and recent experience with the DFA. I submitted my online application on 22nd August 2018 and sent my documentation to the London Embassy on 16th September. I received the 'confirmation of receipt' email on 20t...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Sulla

Basically it took longer to get the FBR than It did to approve it. I wonder where I stand with that?

Did you make a copy or take a picture? Would you care to share what the new certificate looks like (without your personal information / blackened out) ?

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

The Webchat is not avail for FBR, Only Passport. In addition the active hours are gauged against your time, Not Irish time.. makes no sense. Sulla, does the "New" FBR Cert look similar to the "Old" One? here is a picture https://www.google.com/search?rlz=1C1GCEU_enUS819US819&...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

I’m so glad I found this thread as I was completely confused by the email I received from the DFA a couple of weeks ago. My timeline thus far is as follows; 1. Documents recevied by the Irish Embassy in London on 22 October 2018; 2. Received an email acknowledging receipt of my application from the...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Congratulations Sculla! I dont know why, but I called today.. advised to call back in June. When I asked what month is being processed, I was told July. I made reference to another applicant that applied a week before me and was added to the FBR in Dec, I also referred Spav and Sean in early Aug and...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration?

Probably best you didn't call Micheal, you would have only been more frustrated by the lack of information. So looking at the timelines, it seems to me that it takes 4 months to just get anything to say that documents have been received and then the process starts taking at least 6 months - so that...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration?

I didn’t bother to call. I would have been leas than nice and then I would be told that my application would be approved in 2025 and then accidentally “lost”. Plus it would have put me in a bad mood all day.. easier to let it go. During a webchat when it was avail to FBR applicants, I asked if they ...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration?

Sent FBR paperwork for my sons from US to Dublin and received email that it was received on June 14, 2018. Phoned today, and was told that it was still in the queue for review. UGH. Someone just called last week and was told they are working on July applications.. two others having applications rec...
