Re: Foreign Birth Registration?

Im with ya, its kinda getting old. Here are some things I discovered... This is all based on US applicatants for 2018. Weekends and holidays are included in the days counted. The shortest wait for the email is 70 days and that application was received in dublin in January. The longest was 144 days, ...

My sister and I have just received our Irish passports (UK born to Irish parent). Our grown up children - 5 of them want to join the Foreign Birth register. Does anyone know if: It will be quicker as they have just proved our entitlement? Will they be able to cope with 5 related applications? Is it...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration?

Hey shoileygal You don’t need to continue with the FBR process if you already have an Irish passport as you are already an Irish citizen. If I were you I’d contact the DFA and explain your situation to see if you can get your money back! Brawn, Any news? Updates? So far... 134 days or 19 weeks &...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration?

hello folks: I have recently received my Irish Passport and was lucky enough to do this by documenting my father's birth in Ireland. When I first started the process, I wasn't sure I could obtain a document proving that he had changed his name, and for this reason, I thought I was going to have to ...

Passport update: I just got a message from Fedex, informing me that a package will be delivered tomorrow that requires a signature. It was sent from San Francisco, which is the location of the consulate to which I sent my application. Since I don't normally get such deliveries, and the fact that th...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration?

Hi all, I'm in the process of applying for FBR but have one stumbling block. The whole witness thing? I don't know anyone in those professions personally. Am I right in assuming you can't ask your doctor or a lawyer to sign it unless they know you personally or know someone who does know you person...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration?

He was a USA applicant and his application was recieved on 8/3. Sean was also 8/3 but it took 6 days between them. My last note was 970 applications per week (at the min) / 200 per day, they are getting more applications per day than they can process. Christmas has passed, I think I will be lucky to...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration?

I agree that the UK applications take longer. I was wondering why the UK applications need to apply via the Embassy, do they want a record if who has dual citizenship and the US doesn’t care? Tues will be my 17th week but Fri will be my 4th month by date to date (8/21 - 12/21). As far as my call to ...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration?

I called Dublin this morning. The man said “we are currently reviewing applications that were recieved on 8/9 and yours was recieved on 8/21, there are about 100 ahead of you. So, I would give it about a months time.” So, it appears that Sean015 is being reviewed now maybe even the 2nd stage. Thank...
