Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Glad to see you got it Michael. I notice that they have added a photo in the top left. This replaces the holographic harp that my own contains in that area. Actually, that is my favorite part of the FBR certificate. I have always liked holograms. I assume since Brawn also mentioned his contained a ...

Here is copy of the cover letter, Personal info has been blanked out. The FBR Cert picture is too large to attach.
Perfect, thank you again for understanding.
NO, Thank you for catching my error. I was over excited and posted without editing.

Got it! Moderator edit : attachment deleted Michael123, kindly repost the attachment and make sure ALL names, addresses and Irish FBR official details are fully blacked out and redacted completely. I could clearly make out your full name and address and you had not redacted the Irish officials name...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Fortunately, the Irish post is very prompt, The USPS: not so much. I have a friend at the USPS who provided an absentee door label giving permission to leave package without signature in the event of Monday delivery, I was also prepared to stay home from work to sign.. either way. I got lucky having...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

That's fantastic Michael. If it arrives tomorrow (actually today in my time zone) that will be record time for recent deliveries outside the UK / Ireland. They still use other methods to send things to China and these are much slower than the one used to get mail to you in the US. You should be int...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Based on past experiences, certified email from Dublin arrives in the USA the day after it is mailed and generally takes 4-9 days for US postal to deliver. Would love to see it before the 4th of July as it is a holiday and my mothers bday. My birthday is this coming weekend, I get it Michael, I am ...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Michael, how did you get the tracking number for your certificate? Was this provided via email by the DFA? Haven't seen this before, hope it happens for my certificate sometime soon although some have mentioned here that certificates to UK get sent in standard post. I have the US postal service app...

Anyone else got updates on their FBR application ?

I’m nearly at 8 months (applied early Nov 18).

Any Sept/Oct 2018 applicants getting approval yet???
It seems as they are randomly processing Aug applications.

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Anyone have any idea of how long it takes to print the FBR certificate after being approved? Mine took 4 months. However, it seems that they are getting on top of things a little more recently as people seem to have been receiving their certificates within a month. The DFA did tell you 2-3 weeks in...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

There is another, longer discussion of FBR questions and status on this board here . It is rather long, but I think you will find some posts that suggest DFA can be forgiving of some discrepancies with dates, because record keeping wasn't always as precise years ago. After all, the discrepancy for ...
