Is there any issue in 2nd option as I feel if he is away and not utilizing NHS anymore then whats the use of paying right ...

Priority service but no decision yet

Hi,

I recently applied for my dependent visa extension using priorty service but its 7 working days and no communication yet. I assume its simple case of extension. Is this normal? What's the point of priority /super priority if thdy don't communicate in standard time.

In my opinion, that's the normal anxiety that most people go through while their application is in process. But mostly (99.9%) outcome is positive. If you think to stay with current employer then it might be issue if your current application approved and old visa will be cancelled automatically. So ...

Dependents BRP status coming invalid

Hi,

Recently my spouse switched the employer and got new BRP and old become invalid. As dependents already had validity of another year so didn't applied yet. But today I checked the status and even for dependents it's showing status as invalid/expired.

Why is it so?
Thanks

Re: Tier 2 General and ILR

Two days ago Home Office published a paper on the new Skill Worker route (which replaces Tier 2 on 1 Jan 2020). The settlement will require the person to earn at least the general salary (probably £26,400) or the 'going rate' of the SOC code, whichever is higher (see SW 24.3). The going rate for 21...

BTW for dependent only thing matters is your (main) visa expiry date and it calculates from the day you submit.

Was it fresh visa or extension /switch. I think any day extra on top of year goes as half part of the year. Your dates goes one day extra from 3 year. And did you applied before cos start date?

Re: COS has been issued, but then I withdrew because of Covid

Your employer has paid £3000 for ISC and £199 for CoS. They will get £3000 back from home office. So only loss is £199 which they can bear.

Re: Upto 3 years or more than 3 years for dependent extension

The answer I got myself while trying to fill application. Even if dependent is applying for 1 month (considering they are joining late or already had valid leave). They still have to pay same visa fee, what is paid by main applicant.
