I applied my LTR on 1 sept 06 and got approved in May 08. My citizenship application was made one year before my LTR application, as stupid me didn't know such a thing called LTR then. Just received approval yesterday through registered post. I applied at the end of Septermber 2005, based on 5 year working permit. Was asked for updated bank statement around beginning of September08.

I submitted my application in Sept 2005 with all the required documents (including the bank statements then). Then in Aug this year, they asked me again to submit latest bank statements.

the news about the intergration of system in immigration is likely. my friend who got a letter for DOJ recently. it told her that she was eligible to apply for LTR. but also told her that they queue is long... she has never applied for LTR.

I'd recommend you to consult a lawyer for this, as without the stamps on your passport ,it hardly can prove your 5 year residency in Ireland. by the way, did you work based on work permit (stamp1), as the period on student visa doesn't count although you might pay tax as well. only the people reside...
