After you pay 950 and send papers to INIS it takes normally 50-60 days to get the Cert by post. But there are cases with 30-40 days as well. Tuner im pretty sure that isnt correct, the average seems to be 4 weeks and it also states on the citizens info website that the certificate is normally issue...

Technically yes, however I think it would be a With youre child being Irish there is a link. Submit the application and see if it is accepted. The minister might waive the 5 year rule. You have nothing to lose by applying.

FYI!!A friend of mine who used to work for me. Thai national married to an Irish fella, applied November 2006 and recieved approval february 2009. Application wasnt based on marriage as they hadnt been married 3 years yet.
