New BPR for spouse of a person who newly obtained ILR

Hello,

If person Alpha has obtained ILR based on a Tier 1 visa, how could they renew/replace their spouse's soon-to-expire BPR? That BPR was obtained as 'Depedent' before ILR was obtained by person Alpha.

Thanks.

Re: ILR: Evidence on why going outside the UK

You did not read the guide properly !! It clearly says in the beginning that your route Global Talent (formerly Tier 1 (Exceptional Talent)) is NOT covered by this guide :!: :!: I see your point. The absence of 'Global Talent' in the list of routes the guide covers should mean it is (i.e. the guide...

Re: ILR: Evidence on why going outside the UK

There is no question in the application about WHY. That was my understanding until I read the official document "Indefinite leave to remain: calculating continuous period in UK" (link below). In particular, the following sentence: "Evidence in the form of a letter from the employer w...

ILR: Evidence on why going outside the UK

Hi, I am about to apply for my ILR based on Exceptional Talent Tier 1 visa. I do meet the rule of 180 days max outside the country per any rolling 12 months period. My question is: Do I have to provide evidence of WHY I left the country for all the flights I took? Most of my trips outside the countr...

Re: ILR Set O - 28 days rule, visa issuance or date of entry??

1. Your qualifying time start from the initial visa issue date. Could I please ask you what you mean by "The initial visa"? Are you referring to the "Entry Clearance" visa which is glued to the passport and which has one month of validity from the date of issuance? Or are you re...

Re: Delaying the application for a child's ILR

Thanks for the great feedback. Ironically this fixes my problem, as I will be the only one applying at this point of time. The Child and the spouse will have to wait.

Delaying the application for a child's ILR

Hello. I am after a clarification that I could not find on gov.uk. I have a Tier 1 Exceptional talent visa. I applied and got the maximum 5 years visa. My spouse and 8-year-old child both got their "dependent" visas, and we all have been living here in the UK. I am now 3 years past the sta...

Bring it all in..

Folks, I have obtained my Tier 1 immigration visa and I am moving to the UK soon. I would like to know what are my entitlements in terms of bringing personal stuff into the UK. As I have a lot of things like household items, clothes, computers, etc, for my family and myself, would I have to pay fees...
