Re: Citizenship applications from 2017 pending approval

Hi Anira - I also applied in October 2017. Did you receive a 2nd stage letter? I received a letter in April but it didn’t explicitly reference second stage, rather your application is being processed with a view to checking good character etc.

Nothing since...

Re: Reasons for citizenship delay

Ash - don’t feel bad. I have the exact same timeline as you appying in Oct 17 and hearing nothing but generic responses since. I’m taxed at highest rate, EU citizen, no offences etc. Lived in Ireland 26 years. There is no rhyme of rhythm to the process. Most likely we are being processed by the same...

Re: Next Ceremony 26th November at Killarney

Hi M7edShin, I’m in the same boat as you. I applied October 2017 and never received a letter referencing 2nd stage. INIS haven’t asked for additional info. Another user posted they shared the same timelines as me, so there are at least 3 of us in the same boat :D there isn’t much you can do bar wai...

Re: Phone line

Thanks for the reply 2pac4ever. I applied based on 5 years residency (or should that be 27 years residency!!). It’s a straight forward application. You’re right they are under resourced but like most companies and sectors everyone is - a service should still be supplied. I received my passport back ...

Re: Phone line

I was calling from 2 phones last Tuesday and couldn't get through lol. :) :) IggyB - did you get the information you wanted by getting through ? It's scandalous that you have to dial 73 times to get through in the first place. I would suspect it's better to close that line rather than give someone f...

Re: Phone line

thanks for the reply kib. your process sounds similar to mine, which i don't know is good or bad for me! I applied october 2017, no criminal record, no speeding ticket etc. No burden etc etc. I haven't been asked for any additional information. The only proactive comms i recived from INIS was a lett...

Phone line

Does anyone manage to get through on the citizenship phone line? I’ve tried religiously 50 plus times over the last 2 weeks between 10-12 Tuesdays and Thursday and nothing. Either it rings out or I get a busy tone. I’ve now moving into 1 year of waiting in the next 2 weeks and emails just return a g...
