For the record, I have applied for Leave to Remain after 12 years of lawful residence at the time in the UK. Received a refusal 7 months later for marginally (absence of 1.5 days more than allowed) not meeting the qualifying requirements. Have appealed and won within about 3 months from refusal. Now...

Ten years category; lived here for twelth now - most of my life.

Coming to six months wait on the eighth of September from the acknowledgement letter date (the eighth of March) now. Will enquire in over the phone on Monday. Awesome.

It took 6 months for me to get a reply to my naturalisation application.
