Interview For HSMP in foriegn country

I am in the US on an H1b visa and have just applied for HSMP. If successful, am I able to interview here in the States, or do I have to return to my native New Zealand for the interview?

Any help would be appreciated.

I had a smilar situation to you recently and applied for a b1 tourist visa. This gives you six months. Just create an itinerary to take to the embassy to show why you would like to be in the states for 6 months. The visa is valid for ten years so any time you go in the future you will enter on this ...

H1b Transfer

I have received approval for H1b and plan on entering the US in early October. I jumped at the opportunity to work for my H1b sponsor as it allowed me to gain an H1b, even though its in an industry I have no desire to work in. I have since received two job offers and the prospective employers are wa...

Other option

I have just read about your situation and certainly feel for you. I have been dragged over the coals trying to get immigration sorted in the US and finally have just received approval for my H1B so looks like the I'm in the clear now. If you are not able to get anything sorted for the US, why not tr...

I qualify with 95 points using my NZ income for tax year April 06 - March 07, and 75 points using my existing US. But I havent been here long so would have to wait to file taxes next year to get a tax return. I am a little concerned about waiting to use my US incom. How would they prorate my income?

I was a gap student in the UK about 10 years ago and I was mis advised and told to use that as my visa, so unfortunately that is not an option.

Hi, I am looking at applying for HSMP. I am a NZ citizen who has just recently come to work in the US. I have my income tax, bank statements and letter from my previous employee stating salary in NZ for the last year. As I have only been working in the US for 6 months I am a little concerned about h...

I called to try and book an interview and the operator said to check on the webiste to see the date range that interview bookings are now available. But as a guide he said that 6-8 weeks ahead is the norm. If you are under HSMP in the UK what is your native country? I am from NZ and just received H1...
