Re: Next ceremony after 29 April

Re: Citizenship applications from 2017 pending approval

Hello everyone, my wife applied for Irish naturalisation in June 2017 , as the spouse of an Irish (from Northern Ireland) and after almost 2 years we got her citizenship approval letter this morning. What a long drawn out journey, hopefully everyone gets sorted with their own applications soon, goo...

Re: Citizenship applications from 2017 pending approval

Thank you. I can feel for you, believe me. I’ve called them every week, wrote two TDS, requested foi file, talked to the solicitor. They just do it slow for some applications without any obvious system. People who came with me to the country have already became citizens two years ago. We just have ...

Re: Second Stage letter

I don’t work in INIS so I can’t really answer your question. The main purpose of this ceremony is to complete some of the oldest applications (2016-2017) while also catering for people who couldn’t make it to the April ceremony. If your application was submitted in 2018-2019 it is unlikely that you...

Re: Second Stage letter

I dont think thr is any ceremonwy in june. Source ? I was offered to choose between 29 April and 28 June by a senior event coordinator staff in the Department of Justice - I chose 29 April eventually. It’s a small ceremony with a capacity of 300 as that is the max size for the event hall in WIT. Hi...

Re: delay in citizenship application - applied in 2016

Just got copy of my file. Applied on 25th November 2016 by 14th December 2016 I was cleared by Garda and INIS. Apparently straight forward application. Since then my file hasn't been touched until now. Couldn't get hold my solicitor as she is in Court all day. Will talk to her on Monday about Judic...

Re: First Ceremony of 2019

We got through on the phone after a few tries and were told 'Unfortunately there is no update on this application'. Didn't have the heart to ask any questions after hearing that so just hung up the phone. Why there is no update even after 15 months on a straightforward application is beyond me. Con...

Re: Citizenship applications from 2017 pending approval

The main wait for me is finally over. I got my payment, photos and GNIB put in an envelope a month ago and finally got to send it off today. I called them yesterday and they told me a decision has not been made yet. It looks like the phone line doesn’t always have the most up-to-date information. I...
