1. Applied on 8th January 2019 SET(M) super priority service
2. Received generic email stating that my application could take 6 months on 9th January 2019
3. Attended appointment on 14th January 2019
4. Waiting...

An employer letter is mandatory and they should specify the period of the paid salary relied upon.

ILR can become invalid if you stay 2 consecutive years outside the UK. Never heard of this 3 months rule!!

Also, ILR is not a visa per say. It is a permenant residency.
