Re: Malaysian leaving UK with British passport, entering Malaysia with Msian passport that will expired in 2 months

I think I should have just applied for BRP cards instead of the British passports for them. And let them decide if they want to become British citizens in the future. oh well... As British, they are exempt from immigration control. This means that immigration services don't deal with British citize...

Re: Malaysian leaving UK with British passport, entering Malaysia with Msian passport that will expired in 2 months

For my problem above, can I apply for a residence/BRP card for my sons who are already British citizens ( for UK born children whose parent was previously on ILR - Tier 2 visa and parent has been granted a Settled status ) ? No you can't. Thank you CR001. I guess we will have to continue playing th...

Re: Malaysian leaving UK with British passport, entering Malaysia with Msian passport that will expired in 2 months

I agree. Especially in this day and age. People move a lot, families are composed from people of various origins... It's not sustainable to keep insisting on people having a single citizenship. I have 3 citizenships and I passed them all to my daughter. She applied only for 1 passport to travel but...

Re: Malaysian leaving UK with British passport, entering Malaysia with Msian passport that will expired in 2 months

I don't know, but I really think dual citizenships should be accepted by most countries in the world, if not all - especially among countries that had some colonial/historical ties between them in the past, ie ex-Commonwealth countries. People have and will continue to commit this "crime" ...

Malaysian leaving UK with British passport, entering Malaysia with Msian passport that will expired in 2 months

Hi all, I have been cracking my head the whole day today trying to find a solution to my sons' problem. My wife and I are Malaysian living in UK with BRP cards. 2 of our children also have BRP cards whilst 3 more, who were born here in the UK have British passports, they don't have BRP. We went to M...

Re: Urgent- Additional parental consent for Child First Passport

* I knew about this when I called them yesterday, they said they have sent a letter requesting that consent letter but I haven’t received the letter yet, I will only send the document back once I received the letter - just to be sure what else they requested. If they only requested my wife’s parenta...

And I thought the journey has come to end when I applied for my children’s British passports 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately , I just found out yesterday that Passport Office has re...

From first child passport online application to fast track ? *HELP Please*

Hi all good people, In the rush to complete my children’s first child passport applications, I opted for an online service that I thought will have an option for a fast track service at the payment stage. Well, it was not. I have paid for it, but haven’t send the documents yet. The counter-signatory...

So i will proceed with their British passports’ applications and hope they will be approved and ready in 3 weeks time.
For children, you can apply using the one week fast track service.

That’s even better! 😊

Thank you CR001. 👍

Re: Travelling abroad whilst waiting for BC for children whose BRP expired , not applied for ILR

Hi again I just found out that we need to go back to Malaysia next month - it’s an urgent matter. So this is not about a holiday anymore. I understand that the Certification of Registration cant be use as valid travel documents for my UK born children, is there any way that they can travel abroad an...

Re: Travelling abroad whilst waiting for BC for children whose BRP expired , not applied for ILR

The certificate is not a travel document. The issue you will have is boarding a plane with no visa for the UK for the child. Thank you for your quick response CR001. I was thinking the same too, but since Malaysian passport holders can enter UK without Visa - enter as tourist and valid to stay for ...

Travelling abroad whilst waiting for BC for children whose BRP expired , not applied for ILR

Dear good people, I apologise if this question has been asked here before, but I have been reading this forum since yesterday, and couldn’t see question similar to mine. I’ve read some people’s questions on Naturalization and travel abroad, and I understand it’s permissible to travel whilst waiting ...

Re: Urgent Question regarding proof of address document

HO has to be convinced he is not leading an independent life. And you have to prove that. Yes I understand that part. The problem is we don’t have a lot of option and time to do anything else now given the circumstances that we are in. We have registered with a new GP yesterday since the previous G...

Re: Urgent Question regarding proof of address document

I am not very sure if a second bank account will be sufficient. Wait for seniors to respond. Worst case scenario, you can write a cover letter explaining the GP change and it will take some time. HO will allow you some extra days in that case. Btw your son is still protected under section 3c till a...
